I have received apologies from both Scott Gilmore, Finance Director and Matt Starnes - Digital Director (responded to my original review). Both have indicated they want to do what they can to address the situation. Other than my in-person visit with Scott I have not heard from him other than a couple of emails stating of additional items they needed from us for the lender. I sent Matt an email yesterday but have not heard from him yet either. My original review was very factual and now I have even more to add. We were put in a position that in order to get a vehicle my husband wanted we had to purchase from Northside because I could not afford to shop somewhere else due to the fact that a different dealership would also have to do a hard hit credit check which would drop my score again. 12/11 my husband took off work to finalize the deal because we were guaranteed the deal was done to our satisfaction. Of course that was not the case so he spent unnecessary time at the dealership and away from work....more lost money. Therefore, we got the truck but with a $50 more a month payment and an extremely high interest rate. We signed the final paperwork on 12/12/15. All done.....NOPE. After we signed the final papers and left the dealership we were called and said there was additional paperwork that they needed from us to verify address/PO Box for the lender. Another unnecessary trip on our part. As of 12/17 I am still trying to jump through hoops to get them what they need for the lender. I am exhausted and at this point ready to tell them to just come get the xxxx truck. The amount of time I have wasted, the amount of gas/money I have used making multiple trips back and forth to the dealership (120 miles round tripe), the lost money from my husband missing work.....all I can do is think I have a big sticker on my back that says "dummy". Ramiro was very professional, courteous, and he went out of his way to answer questions and to show us as many vehicles as was necessary to help us make up our mind. More

Searched thru Internet pricing and Jason was in constant contact, did not just throw out a price as some other dealerships did. I knew mostly what I wanted and Jason helped refine the selections based on packages. Great help, great service. More
Worst dealership i have ever dealt with. I have several friends who have used them in the past and had a good experience. That is why when it came time to purchase another vehicle we went to I have several friends who have used them in the past and had a good experience. That is why when it came time to purchase another vehicle we went to them. The staff is a pleasure to work with up until the time you have a problem. We were doing everything online as to make it easier for us when we arrived at the dealership. We had our financing in order, had a vehicle picked out, all we had to do was show up sign some papers and drive off. Easy, right??? Here is where the deal went south. I had called our salesman earlier in the day to let him know we would be there at a specific time so that he could get the car through make ready and have everything in order. As we got closer to the dealership i texted him to let him know we were almost there, he replied okay see you soon. A few minutes later he called and told me the car we wanted had just sold, what? I called you earlier to make sure you had it ready to go for us, what happened? He didnt offer an excuse except to say we have 40 other salesman and they sell cars. Then he told us that he had to run to another dealership to pick up a car and that he would be back in 45 minutes. Again he knew we would be there at a certain time and he is leaving, really? We should have turned around and went home, my wife knew something was not right. We ended up at the dealership anyway to see what else they had that she might like. She didnt want to be there so she didnt care what they had. Salesman finally shows up and tries to find her another car. He found a nice vehicle for her and we checked it out. Price was higher than we wanted so we asked if they could work the price down, afterall they sold the vehicle we were there to buy and he left to go get another vehicle for another buyer. They couldnt do anything with the price, finance director had already went home for the night. The salesman said that it would be monday before anything could be done, we were there on a friday evening. How do they sell cars on the weekend if no one is there that can make a decision??? Interesting... We asked to talk to a manager, only manager available was the sales manager. I asked him why if there is a deal in place do they not hold cars. He said that they dont because sometimes people dont show up and if someone is there in person to buy it they sell it. Okay i can understand that, but you have all of my paperwork, you have the financing in order, and i stayed in constant contact with the salesman the day we were supposed to pick the car up. He didnt care, he was of no help. I asked them how they sell cars through their internet department if they dont hold cars. All i heard was crickets, not one person could answer that question. We left that night feeling like that a bait and switch had just been pulled. We will never recommend Northside Ford to anyone. Luckily we found the exact vehicle my wife wanted at another dealership and bought it within hours on a saturday for less money. More
Don't waste your time If I could give a rate of "0" I would. I have never had a worse car buying experience in my life. After dealing with 10 different sales team associate If I could give a rate of "0" I would. I have never had a worse car buying experience in my life. After dealing with 10 different sales team associates (two of which left the dealership the day after we spoke to them), we still didn't end up with a new truck. My husband and I went to the dealership and told them what our monthly budget was. We have A+ credit so that wasn't the issue. The issue was that after looking at multiple vehicles, spending countless (non productive) hours and numerous weekends here not one individual took responsibility for their actions. I'll spare you all the details and simply get to the point that was the final straw. On Saturday my husband went, yet again, to the dealership in hopes of buying a truck. The truck he had found on the dealership's website had been sold but they showed him a similar one. While he was debating on settling on one that he wasn't in love with, his luck changed. The truck that he originally wanted was being returned. After driving the truck and letting them know he was ready to make a purchase, he was told "We will make this deal happen". After being there 3+ hours, he had to leave and was told they would call him when the paperwork was done either that night or Monday morning. We didn't hear from the dealership Saturday or Monday so we took it upon ourselves to contact them. I got in touch with the four different people that we had dealt with on Saturday and each one seemed to have little or no recollection of those conversations from the weekend. During this time another sales associate had began a deal on the truck that was supposed to be ours. At this point we were told that if their deal didn't go through we could work something out. I'm not sure who was ultimately responsible for dropping the ball on this deal but it's extremely frustrating. We gave Northside Ford way too many opportunities to become our dealership and would not recommend any one going there. There are too many other dealerships that would be happy simply follow up and sell you a vehicle. More
First time I met Hector "Hugo" Vasquez was when I drove down from Austin to pick up my truck. We met via email and went back and forth over trucks/options/tow capacities etc. until I found the exact truck and configuration I needed - and luckily he had the one I wanted on the lot. Had a deal going up here in Austin but when that deal went South - well so did I - right down to Hugo at Northside Ford. Very happy with my experience with Richard Powell in finance (Thanks Richard) but will have to say Hugo went above and beyond to work out my deal - and I'm very happy with my purchase. More
