I sent out some requests through the Ford website giving very specific details about what I was looking for. The information forwarded to several dealerships was not clear on what I wanted. I had a few dealerships contacting me to tell me they had several models and colors to choose from. One dealer rep contacted me to inquire about the specific details I was looking for since the information given to him was vague. I took a few minutes to provide Ben Eason [Northside Ford] the specifics of what I wanted to include the model, color and accessories that needed to be added before taking delivery of the truck. I received a follow-up call from Ben within an hour with him telling me that he had a truck that met about 95%, if not 100% of my specific requirements. He read off the options from the truck found (luckily, right on their own lot) and wanted to know if I wanted to come take a look at it. I made an appointment with him to come in to take a look at the truck. With exception to the aftermarket accessories I needed, it was a perfect match. We went for a drive that evening; my wife and I knew that this was the one we wanted. We started to get the ball rolling to get everything together to make the purchase while Ben worked on the accessories to get all the numbers together, get the trade-in appraised and start working the numbers. The entire process actually went quicker than expected and pretty smooth. More

I am a X-Plan member. I located this vehicle online through the Ford Partner program website. I prefer to deal with a different dealership, but they only had one Explorer LT 4WD and it was Silver. I prefer either Grey, Blue or Red. Northside Ford had one on the lot in Red. I proceeded directly to that vehicle and waited until approached by a salesperson. My wait was only about 30 seconds. R. Sanchez approached us and asked if we were interested in that vehicle. I told him yes and that I wanted to look it over and test drive it. He left to get the keys. He returned in about one minute and explained he was helping another customer. He brought another salesperson with him and turned us over to him. Vernon Alexander allowed us to take the vehicle for a drive, then walked us through the purchase process. My experience with Northside Ford and Vernon Alexander (although long and drawn out) was not unpleasant. I would have to say that four and a half hours to purchase a vehicle is a bit lengthy. More
