I went to this dealership because I received an email saying they wanted to buy my car and would offer me up to 25% over book value. Obviously, this was just a lie to get me down there to buy a car, but saying they wanted to buy my car and would offer me up to 25% over book value. Obviously, this was just a lie to get me down there to buy a car, but I figured I'd take a look anyway, The first thing Mike Annabi wanted to talk about was what kind of car was I looking to buy. I told him that I was there to sell my car, so we should talk about that first. After they appraised my car, I took a brand new Seltos SX for a test drive. Very nice car. After we got back, Mike disappeared for a while. To my great surprise, when he came back, he tried to show me some numbers he had run without ever talking to me about price or telling me what my car had been appraised for. Turns out they appraised it for 25% UNDER book value, then tried to wrap the negative equity in my car into what turned out to be ridiculous payments for a Kia, which payments were based on a price that they never told me and for which we had not negotiated. Nor did they offer me any of the incentives I was originally promised to make up for the negative equity which I already knew I had in my car, because I bought it used right after the pandemic, when there was an inventory shortage and used cars were really overpriced. How do you go and run numbers without talking about price? Anyway, I told Mike to forget about it and asked him to give me back my car key, which he had kept after appraising my car. He refused to give it back, even though I asked multiple times. Instead, he went to get his manager, as if they could salvage this sale after they tried to rip me off in several different ways. So I asked the manager for my key and he still tried to get me to sit down and negotiate. It was way too late for that. Stay away from this dishonest dealer, where they think women are too stupid to know anything about buying cars and even pretend not to know what "invoice price" means, as Mike tried with me. More
I had to get two new Kia Soul keys. It took three trips. They finally got the job done on the third trip AND they fixed a fog light issue. Great JOB!! It took three trips. They finally got the job done on the third trip AND they fixed a fog light issue. Great JOB!! More
