I bought a 2007 Camry LE from Boch with a Guidepoint system. I went for vacation recently and returned after two weeks to find that my car battery was completely dead. Naturally I call up the service department, wondering if there was a bad cell in the battery or if there was a parasitic load draining the battery. Apparently, if you bought the Guidepoint system with your car, it is expected that if the car is not started within a period of 3 to 4 days, your car will be unable to start due to a drained battery. Now, when I bought this Guidepoint system (which was ~$2000 at Boch), Boch informed me the product warranty on this equipment was valid for the life of the car itself and I thought it seemed reasonable, considering the fact that Boch made it seem like it was a factory installed car alarm system (yes they never mentioned that the car did not come from the factory without the alarm or that it was an after-market product). I've recently received a warranty renewal bill from Guidepoint stating that it will cost another $100 per year to renew the product warranty. The sales manager was very rude, raised his voice and acted as if he knew everything. The only thing I can say is that the Guidepoint technician was friendly, but that has nothing to do with Boch Toyota. I will never buy from Boch Toyota again, if it were me I would not purchase anything extra from them. I'd rather pay a little extra for some peace of mind that I would not have to deal with a dead car all the time. More

Quoted price for RAV 4, AWD, as advertised on 8/26 in the Boston Globe, was doing paper work, noticed that it was switched to a 2WD, then dealer wanted another $750.00 for AWD, claiming that there were no mo Boston Globe, was doing paper work, noticed that it was switched to a 2WD, then dealer wanted another $750.00 for AWD, claiming that there were no more left at the adv. and quoted price. After leaving the dealer, I called the dealership, gave a different name and was quoted the original price for the AWD model, that they were still available. I called the dealership again. Complained to manager, got nothing but lip service, denying that there were any cars left at the adv. price, yet he can sell me the same car for $750. more, which tells me he has the same car available. Someone said that this dealer does 'bait & switch', but I didn't take their word, assumed that one has to have their own experience before distrusting them. Certainly won't do business with this dealer, nor any of the other Boch dealerships, will definitely let everyone know that they are as sleazy as people have told me. More

Not only did they lose the title to our trade in, they filed registration form with DVM showing lien holder (for cash deal) and we have an uphill climb trying to obtain a title for OUR vehicle. We're on the uphill climb trying to get our title issue straightened through Toyota Credit and the DMV. Not easy. Return phone calls from Boch. . . very difficult. Employees have left leaving others to pick up the pieces; not likely an easy task. Oh, and their warranty? Well, if it's not a "safety issue" it's not going to get fixed. A "safety issue" as per their definition; doesn't include much of anything. Sorry, bad choice. Buyers beware! More

I was delighted to come across an opportunity to rate this dealership! When I was first became interested in trading in my Camry for a Prius, I happened to be driving by Boch. I stopped in just to get an initial sense of the difference in internal space, and I made that immediately clear to the first salesman who---and this is the best word to use---accosted me. I was very clear with him that I had no intention of purchasing a Prius that afternoon, that I just wanted to see the car and its features. I have NEVER been treated more rudely EVER in my life in a business situation. He shrugged his shoulders and waved his arms and commented negatively to his "colleagues" (I use quotation marks because I consider "colleagues" to be a positive word). I would have written to The Great Mr. Boch, but his public personna is such that he probably looks for this sort of person to hire. Every time I see someone driving a car purchased at Boch (it's against the law, BTW, to let anyone put their logo on your car without your say so), I think "There goes someone who is easily intimidated." Stay VERY far away from these sleazy people. They could GIVE me a car and I wouldn't take it. More

placed a deposit on a used sienna van on sat. went back sunday to finish paperwork , which was not ready. sales manager ok'd wednesday to meet with finance . called finance on tues. to check on status of l sunday to finish paperwork , which was not ready. sales manager ok'd wednesday to meet with finance . called finance on tues. to check on status of loan , my call was not returned . wed went back for scheduled meeting with finance , rate was higher than my credit union. i then stated i would go with my credit union instead for the loan. finance told me i would have to get the nada and payoff amount myself to finish loan, after 9 phone calls i was given the wrong vin # twice by the boch management on thursday afternoon. finance again did not return my message until friday,which i did not receive until after business hours. called dealer again on monday to try and get the vin # and was informed dealer canceled sale ,dealer reason : pickup was not within 72 hours of purchase. which the loan would have had to been finished in order to pickup in addition to which they ok'd the wednesday meeting with finance , no deadline was given to me at this time. the sale slip was also for a kia sedona which i pointed out was not correct , and which a copy was not given to mev.there was no vin # on this either. lot's more to this , beginning with the bait and switch pulled 3 times . it ended with being given the wrong phone number twice for ernie boch when i stated i wanted to voice my complaint. this dealership is by far the worst i have ever dealt with. I just bought a Camry Hybrid from Boch in Norwood. I had bought my old Corolla from them serveral years ago and against what I read on this dealer rating site, I went back. I had Kristen Deblasio as my salesperson and found the whole experience to be positive. I found the car in the color I wanted along with all the features I wanted. There was none of this "back and forth" with the manager - just one counter offer by me which was accepted. Because the manager did not think he could match my interest rate from my bank, he offered to reduce the price even further to offset the difference in rates. I feel I got price, especially where my neighbor purchased the same exact Hybrid from a different dealer three weeks before me at several thousand more than I paid. The only down side to the experience was the big push for the extended warranty. After explaining I was not interested for the third time, the rep became pissy and finished up my paper work. Overall my experience was positive. More

Dealer was very nice to us when we bought our Corolla. Car was well priced and wasn't too much haggling involved. The kindness ends there. Boch's customer service was horrid. Calling the dealership was impossible and getting even a basic appointment set up took an act of congress. I once brought the car in for a minor warranty issue (a coin unknowingly fell in between an oversized gap under the seat) the techs took four hours to look at the problem and then made fun of my wife and I for 'throwing our money away' (so, so funny.) We were charged an $160 for a five minute repair and the desk people even started making fun of us for something I later learned was a warrantable service issue. It was a bit silly but demeaning customers explain exactly why this dealership has about the lowest rating on this website anywhere in the country. I never returned to this dealership and told others not to do so either. More
