My son (18) saved his own money to buy this car and was very scared and distraught when he learned of a factory recall on the car for major engine repair .. Mu first Contact with Dan was a phone call to which he just took control and took care of business .. he told us the process .. walked us through the work .. and maost of all made my son very comfortable and sssused that everything was going to be ok with his car (baby)! It’s rare that you find this type of individual working in auto service .. but Dan is a gem ... I am very greatfuk from my heart for how he handled our situation .. and now have Avery positive view of what the OC Welch company is all about ... thank you !! More

Best service experience EVER !!!!! On our trip from Tampa, Fla, to Charlotte, NC, our Ford Explorer struck some type of metallic item while on I-95 near Savannah, GA. The vehicle immedi On our trip from Tampa, Fla, to Charlotte, NC, our Ford Explorer struck some type of metallic item while on I-95 near Savannah, GA. The vehicle immediately lost engine power and was steered safely to the side of the interstate. Arrangements were made ( through AAA) to have the vehicle taken to O.C. Welch Ford-Lincoln dealership in Hardeeville, SC. Within minutes, my wife and I were greeted by friendly staff members who contacted the appropriate personnel to help address our automobile issues. Service Advisor, Dan Ward, patiently took down all the required information needed to determine what might be our next best step. He contacted Service Technician, Robert Marshall. Less than an hour later, we were given the diagnostic results, required parts for the repair, and an estimated cost for the repair. This occurred on a Friday afternoon (after the lunch hour), so being that some of the parts had to be ordered from an out of area supplier, we were told not to expect the parts to arrive much before late Saturday morning. The dealership hours were reduced on Saturday and they were closed on Sunday. That being said, we were told it would be likely that the vehicle's repairs and road testing would be complete some time Monday afternoon. Not great news, but the vehicle was not able to be driven, so we planned for a three day "change of plans". On Saturday, around 1pm, we received a call from Dan indicating that parts had been "RUSH ORDERED" by Robert and arrived early that day. Robert and has crew had our Explorer repaired and road tested. We were able to arrange for a late afternoon pickup, despite the dealership being closed before we could get back to Hardeeville. Through the exceptional efforts and sincere concerns of Dan and Robert, we were able to get back home ( Buffalo, NY), exactly as we originally planned!!!! More

Any question I had, he was able to go above and beyond in great detail about every vehicle I was interested in. Never tried to push me towards buying a vehicle. I would give him 10 stars if possible.
