I love the cars, but won’t ever purchase them again because of repeated terrible experiences with omeara service department. i have a 3.5 year old alltrack with 72100 miles. i purchased the extended wa because of repeated terrible experiences with omeara service department. i have a 3.5 year old alltrack with 72100 miles. i purchased the extended warranty when it was new. A/c system went out 12 miles after factory warranty was up and nothing was covered. i was without my car for three total days and had to rent one for over $350. All they managed to do in that time was diagnose it and talk to extended warranty inspector, who didn’t approve anything because tech said “he didn’t have the time” to demonstrate the failure. And, they didn’t bother to take photos or videos of the issue when they first diagnosed it because “we never have to do that,” according to Larry the service manager. He refused to get the inspector what he needed to facilitate approval unless someone paid him another $159 to repeat the diagnostic. i told him i wasn’t paying for the first one and went to local repair shop. glad i did, since volkswagen said the parts could take a year to arrive, the local shop is getting them in hand within the next week and will complete the repair for $400 less. and, they’re willing to work with the extended warranty company. I had an awful experience buying a used car from here. I would completely advise against getting a used car from O’Meara. A month after purchasing my car I brought it into my local garage for an oil chan I would completely advise against getting a used car from O’Meara. A month after purchasing my car I brought it into my local garage for an oil change and general inspection. They found $3,000+ dollars in repairs. O’Meara wasted my time and did minimal work to make it right. They offered to replace a license plate light, air filter, and seal a leaking gas pan, work they said was valued at around a thousand, my garage could have done all of that for about 400. I couldn’t be more disappointed. More
