I used to find a car I liked, inspect it ,drive it negotiate a price based on the asking price and the actual condition of the car, and write a personal check. Then pick the car up when the check cle negotiate a price based on the asking price and the actual condition of the car, and write a personal check. Then pick the car up when the check cleared the bank. Now, once they know you want the car they will inform you the price listed on the third party website was lower than the price listed at there site. You need to have a qualifying trade in and use in-house financing to receive the lower price. Legally they are not responsible for what they post on third party sites so... to increase foot traffic... they deceive people. In Missouri legislators and the attorney general's office allow this deceptive business practice. When I confronted them they said "they couldn't control the information third party websites had on their websites". That was a blatant lie. They pressured me to fill out a online financial application that included employment history and a SS# when I was not financing through them. THAT WAS A HARD NO. They wanted $500 via my debtcard to hold the vehicle. THAT WAS ANOTHER HARD NO. They waited untill they got my $500 down money before I was informed they only had one Key/FOB for the car ($400 at the Lexus dealer). I held my nose and suffered through it because it was a very nice 8 year old car. On the way home I received a unsolicited call trying to sell me Allstate insurance. Very classy experience. I'm not sure how they measure up against other dealerships in the mid-west but I would rather have a root canal than to go back to Oakes KIA. NOT THE EMPLOYEES FAULT! It is clear that these policies all come from the top. More
