I purchased a 2023 Honda CRV from Ocean Honda of Santa Cruz in April 2024, which was advertised at $32,998. When I reviewed the paperwork, I found that the vehicle was priced over $35,000, with nearly $7, Cruz in April 2024, which was advertised at $32,998. When I reviewed the paperwork, I found that the vehicle was priced over $35,000, with nearly $7,000 in added fees, most of which were never discussed or agreed to. I raised the issue immediately after purchase and the dealership sent a $5,000 credit to my lender, clearly acknowledging that something was wrong. However, they never corrected the sales contract, loan structure, or sales tax, which means I’ve now spent over a year paying interest and taxes on an inflated amount I never agreed to. I recently followed up and was treated with complete disrespect by Sales Manager Dylan Shay, who refused to acknowledge any of this, despite the dealership’s own prior actions proving otherwise. I’m filing complaints with the California DMV and Attorney General for misrepresentation and contract fraud. If you’re considering buying here, read your contract very closely and don’t trust the advertised price without triple checking the paperwork. More
