He gave me an experience I have never had at other repair shops closer to home. He taught me some new things about my Jeep and truly put in the effort to take care of her. I purchased this truck from Olathe Dodge Chrysler Jeep Ram in 2023. This is the third truck I have purchased from this dealership. During the purchase, the truck I ordered was delivered without the 120V i Ram in 2023. This is the third truck I have purchased from this dealership. During the purchase, the truck I ordered was delivered without the 120V inverter/plug that I had paid for. The sales manager at the time repeatedly called asking me to bring in my $72,000 check even though the truck was incomplete and the parts were still two weeks out. I was eventually persuaded to accept three free oil changes in exchange for not having the inverter installed. The manager handwrote this agreement directly on the contract. Shortly afterward, that manager left the dealership. On my recent visit for what should have been one of those oil changes, the service manager presented me with a bill and argued that there was nothing in their system reflecting the agreement. I explained the situation and was told to go talk to sales. The sales manager initially stated they could not honor the agreement because the truck was purchased in 2023 and they had no way to verify how many oil changes had already been used. I advised him to look and my maintenance records. Poor record keeping is not the customer’s responsibility. Eventually the sales manager agreed to cover the oil change and instructed me to tell the service manager to contact him. When I returned to the service department, I was telling the manager to call sales when he abruptly slid a revised bill across the counter, slammed my key fob on the desk, and stated, “I’ll just bill the sales account.” At no point was there any professionalism, apology, or attempt to make the situation right. I have purchased three trucks from this dealership, and this experience made it very clear that customer agreements only seem to matter while the sale is being made. The issue was eventually handled, but only after unnecessary arguing and poor treatment from management. I expect far better communication, professionalism, and record keeping from a dealership representing the Dodge/Ram brand. While sitting in the lobby waiting for my service to be completed, I was seriously considering ordering another new truck from this dealership. After the way this situation was handled by management and service staff, that is no longer something I would consider. The disappointing part is this entire situation could have been resolved professionally in a matter of minutes. More
