Bad judgement call on a tire Olathe Dodge has some of the best prices around for oil changes and tires. A such, I purchased a set of Michelins from them in about about sixteen mo Olathe Dodge has some of the best prices around for oil changes and tires. A such, I purchased a set of Michelins from them in about about sixteen months ago. The tires run about $325 each and came with road hazard. As luck would have it we got a piece of flat iron stuck in the middle of the tread. The service advisor said it could not be fixed and recommended a replacement. She was very nice, but I would have appreciated an estimate since it would have been under warranty and an opinion by someone who actually repairs tires. While waiting, another person in the shop said it could not be fixed. I left the dealership and went to a tire shop where I have an established relationship and trust with management. They immediately said it was repairable and had it fixed up within about 15 mins. It was at that sime that the Olathe Dodge Service Advisor called saying it would cost about $217 with the pro-rated warranty to replace the tire. The Service Manager heard my complaint, reminded me it was a judgement call, and did give me a credit for the amount spent on the repair. While everyone was polite and cordial it’s important to remember it’s incidents like this that degrade trust between the business and the customer. In the end, the tire was fixed and there have been no problems. This is not the level of service I’ve come to expect from Olathe Dodge so I will continue to go there unless it turns into a pattern. Just another car dealer ship My salesmen was supper. Great guy worked hard. I was there twice with a day between. I had two cars on my mind. The next day I called my sale man and he was off work.so call his cell number. So he said he would call and ask if that car was the same price. He called me back and said yes. So I told him I would meet with him the next morning. I wanted to switch to car second car Worked on the deal. They had me a price on for my trade in ( i asked if that was good on any trade in was told yes ) and the price of a down payment. The trade in had extended warranty and gap. So I had to find out what kind of refund I was going to get on that. So the next day my saleman was off. I went to my bank to see it they could get a loan. My banker told me just have them fax the paperwork to me. I asked them to do that they would not do. I told them i was done then. I noticed on the paperwork the trade in was $1000 less then 2 days before. I ask to see the paperwork from the day before. Was going to show them. Well they couldn't find the paperwork. I ask again to fax the paperwork over to my bank. No they can't do that because they only have certain banks they can work with i was told. True to get their kickbacks. My bank wasn't on their list. About 40 minutes went by They came out with another deal I took it. Because I really wanted that car. Then you go to do the paperwork they try to sale you everything. Your told your at limit on your loan. Then they tell you that their bank said you can add all this stuff to you loan. Just another car dealer ship. They are all the same. But my Saleman a great guy. Just another dealship puppet. More
