Excellent Guest Service and Inventory! I have been a repeat customer at Olathe DCJR, so my expectations were high walking in to trade in my Nitro for a newer vehicle. I was met by Mike (aka Ranger) when I arrived, and a week later I drove off in a vehicle that I didn't know was in my range until they helped get me there. There is no problem too big, no solution too complex, for this team to handle. Anytime you can work with a repeat customer and exceed their expectations, you know you have a good thing going. The crazy part is that I worked with people I had not worked with before at this dealership, and they still provided and exceeded the expectations built with other team members. Thanks again Ranger! Great Experience/Negotiate Your Interest Rate At 55 1/2 years old, this was my very first new car purchase. I've always bought used. My husband hates car shopping so I get the pleasure of pickin At 55 1/2 years old, this was my very first new car purchase. I've always bought used. My husband hates car shopping so I get the pleasure of picking out our vehicles (that's fine by me). I did my vehicle research online first, picked out the top 3 I was interested in, then contacted the dealers. It just so happened that the vehicle I bought (2015 Dodge Grand Caravan) was the first and only one I looked at. There was no sales pressure (John was great!), but I did have to negotiate with them on the interest rate. I have good credit (I check it monthly) so I knew what range my credit score was in. Chrysler said it was about 40 points lower and therefore the interest rate I was presented was 7.99%. I called my personal bank (in front of everyone; they were OK with it) and got a rate of 4.75%. The best I got from Chrysler was 5.37%. I said OK and proceeded to the finance manager to sign all the paperwork. Because I bought the gap insurance (raised my payment $5) I walked out of there a proud and happy owner of my very first NEW CAR purchase and a final interest rate of 4.19% through a local bank in Lee's Summit. I drove 100 miles to the dealership so the bank is out of my area but they were still a great interest rate. It pays to shop in a big city where there are many dealerships because it creates competition and competitive prices. I got a fabulous deal all the way around and the dealership never, not once, pressured me to do anything. Of course, they knew I was coming and I was assigned a salesperson before I ever got there. John is closer to my age than the other sales reps so I appreciated that a lot. I give the whole experience 5 stars and recommend them to everyone! More
