Second time’s a charm What I appreciate most about the guys who sold me a car — eventually two cars — from Martin Nissan, is that this dealership stands firmly behind the c What I appreciate most about the guys who sold me a car — eventually two cars — from Martin Nissan, is that this dealership stands firmly behind the cars that it sells. I experienced first hand, that if something goes wrong, Martin Nissan will make it right. After my recent experience these guys have earned a customer for life. I say this despite the fact that my initial purchase from them went south. What made me decide to buy a car from Chris Palmer, despite having looked at nearly every used car dealership from here to Wisconsin and back, was Chris’ reassurance that he wouldn’t leave me high and dry if I found that there was something major wrong with the car I bought from him. This was my daughter’s first car, so it was an important purchase for me that I did not take lightly. As I was contemplating the purchase, I explained to Chris what was making me hesitate. I was afraid of spending money on a car that could potentially have some major hidden flaw. I didn’t want to be stuck with a crummy car that ended up being a money pit. My price range was low. Cash out of pocket. No financing. It’s not as if I was spending a lot. Chris didn’t have to take the time that he took with me. But after he understood what was holding me back from the sale, he relayed a couple of less-than-success stories to me, where something serious had in fact, gone wrong for one of his customers after the sell. He told me in detail what they had done in each case, to make things right for the customer. Ultimately, that was what I needed to hear. I needed reassurance that I would be in good hands if something wasn’t right after the fact. Chris’ reassurance to me was tested within a few days of my initial purchase. I discovered a problem so serious that it rendered the car I had purchased unusable. Needless to say, I was upset. My daughter was upset. I returned to the dealership with a car that we couldn’t use, and asked them what they would do to remedy the situation. Chris, and later, manager Joe Zich assured me that they would work with me to find a suitable replacement once they had confirmed the seriousness of the problem with my purchase. True to their word, they did not leave us high and dry. They provided me with a loaner car so that my daughter could use my car while we waited for a replacement within my price range. Chris stayed in constant contact with me. Each time a potential came in, he notified me. He made sure I was the first to see and test drive potential replacements. This process took some time. They didn’t get many cars in my low price range. It took some time to find the one. But they hung in there with us, they were patient with us, and they finally found a match for us. The car we settled on to replace the first car I purchased was priced a bit higher than the first car I bought. Of course I would have preferred an even trade and to spend no more out of pocket. But at the end of the day, the price they gave us for this second car was fair. I paid the difference, and I ended up with a car that I felt good about for my daughter. We had detailed knowledge and records of the service history of this second car. The second car we ended up with was THE car for my daughter. Chris and Joe made the trade in and title transfer process easy. They kept their word at every step in the process. I paid the difference, and we have been happy with our purchase ever since. Despite the road being a bumpy one, my daughter ended up with a good, reliable first car. In a world where solid customer service is virtually nonexistent, we found a little oasis of restored hope in Martin Nissan. I’ll be upgrading the old car I drive in the near future, and I can’t imagine going anywhere else for my car needs. Every friend or family member who asks (or doesn’t ask!) hears - whether they want to or not - my story about the stand-up guys at Martin Nissan. I appreciate Chris and Joe, and I hope they never change. I expect my grandkids to buy their first car from Martin Nissan. I will never forget this experience. More

Dario did a great job explaining the car buying process to me, including my trade-in. He also, patiently, took the time to lead me through the technological advances of the new car. Buying a car is super stressful between the fine print, the options, the packages, the warranties, etc, that it’s overwhelming. With that said, Dario & the other Martin Nissan employees made the entire process more simple and straight forward. I appreciate all the effort they put forward to make me feel comfortable. More
