Not your typical dealership ! Have been looking for a new/used Mercedes ML350 for several months. Went to the MB dealers in my city (Milwaukee) and finding the vehicle, color, opt Have been looking for a new/used Mercedes ML350 for several months. Went to the MB dealers in my city (Milwaukee) and finding the vehicle, color, options and condition was difficult so widened the search to include northern Chicago suburbs using True-car. Found three that could work if they were as presented. Ileana was great at following up with me as well as getting me to come to the dealership and meet their team as well as see the vehicle. Started at Martin Nissan where the sales manage, Jim Pigoni, greeted me and introduced me to Daniel Alonso a member of his team. Daniel brought the vehicle into the service area so we could look at it inside and after a through check we went for a test drive. Daniel was professional, engaging to be with and allowed time to give the vehicle a good test drive. Returning to the dealership I explained that I was in the area to look at three vehicles so making a decision wasn't possible at that time. Daniel conveyed understanding, asked good questions to really understand what I was looking for and took extra time to show me the car fax report, the dealership vehicle inspection report and the MB vehicle listing that showed the option packages with the original prices as well as the final "all in" retail price. Daniel Jim back in front of me to reinforce their willingness to work with me once I did my other dealer calls. The other two vehicles had lower milage due to they're being one year newer but the dealership / sales person experience lacked energy, enthusiasm and essentially allowed me to move the transaction forward or not. I was looking at a high end product that has potential for future service related work let alone a possible second sale if a newer vehicle became part of their inventory. In addition both dealerships lacked "energy" . . . . you could feel a different vibe at Martin Nissan that wasn't evident in either location. Called Daniel and Jim back to put a deposit on their vehicle so we could take things to the next step and complete a mutually beneficial transaction. I didn't open the price conversation with a "low ball" offer because I did want to do business with them. The final price was reasonable and allowed both of us to feel good about the deal. When I returned to complete required paperwork it just got better. Daniel and Jim were professional offering additional services without being aggressive and the last part of the transaction with the finance office - Fred Kodroff was great to work with and added value to the experience and brand Martin Nissan presents to the marketplace. They offer free oil changes to all of their customers and I plan on returning to take advantage of this benefit even though its 75 miles form where I live. This dealership is a gem in the world of customer experience and a credit to leadership / ownership. Thanks Daniel, Jim and Fred for a really positive auto purchase experience! More
