My experience was horrendous with the service department and I will never return for service or sales. I received a "check book" with discount coupons for parts and service which is why I brought my 2011 GMC Acadia to the dealership. I expect GM service technicians to be skilled in quickly diagnosing and repairing GM products with skill instead of throwing parts at the problem with absolutely no thought or care for cost. The service manager I worked with, Eric, is apparently the assistant service manager with 17 years of experience. However, he was, by far the worst service manager I've encountered and I've owned and had serviced GM vehicles since 1988. His customer service level was disappointing to say the least. I dropped my vehicle off the night before by giving my keys to him and he wouldn't tell me the hourly labor rate but gave me some deceptive line about job pricing. He said he'd call me with an estimate the next morning. However, after hearing nothing from the dealership by 11 AM I called and got voice mail. At 1 PM I still hadn't heard a word from the dealership so I called and he said he was working up the estimate. This wasn't good news because I was paying for a rental car and I needed my vehicle quickly diagnosed and repaired at a fair and reasonable cost. Around 2:30 PM he called me back and suggested to sit me down. He proceeded to give me vague statements about $3,500 for this repair and $2,500 for that repair and $660 for another repair with no specifics. When I asked for a pricing breakdown I told him the prices for parts he was quoting was 25% higher than GM list price published on GM dealer and ACDelco parts web sites and 50% higher than the discounted prices on those web sites. He had no specifics that throwing $6,500 at my truck would resolve any issues because he was simply throwing parts at the problem after neglecting to do any required GM diagnostics per the Factory Service Manual guidelines. For example, a misfire was replace all 6 spark plugs, one coil and a gasket for the intake manifold with no proof that this would correct the problem. These items had been changed within the past two years so it was improbable that they would have failed this quickly. For the P0420 code he wanted to replace both catalytic converters, at twice the retail price for parts for GM genuine parts, and failed to explain what the upstream emissions problem was that the sensor on one of the converters was experiencing. GM dealerships are notorious for failing to correct the problem and instead destroying catalytic converters by forcing customers to install and reinstall multiple converters due to failure to diagnose the cause of the problem. I asked for a detailed estimate from Eric, he said he would provide, then I said I was going to pick up my truck because $6,500 was outrageous for the little amount of work and over priced parts he wanted to trick me into buying. When I came to pick up my vehicle, the dealership had failed to wash it (which a sign in the lobby promises they do for all customers) and they refused to honor the $50 service coupon (not to exceed 10% parts and labor) because the diagnostic charge was not labor. They even charged me for shop supplies and some vague item called "quantity purchase recover." The service invoice/receipt was full of typographical errors, incorrect engine service codes, and didn't provide any detail on the estimate, just one or two sentences. More
Do not leave your vehicle here for service. If you have to leave your vehicle for service take pictures of how you turned it over to them. My wife left her vehicle for service on Friday and when she picked up her vebicle that afternoon her windsheld was craked and the front spoiler was damaged. She requested the service manager, but he was unavailable She than asked for the general manager. The general manager came over he apologized and said that her window would be replaced on Monday. Additionally, he said that the replacement could be at her home or in their service shop. Well, today is Tuesday and all she's has gotten so far is the run around. Now the service and the general managers are unavailable. Tomorrow someone needs to have some answers. More

I dropped my vehicle off with the service dept. on Saturday for my 2014 Silverado; it was shaking at idle. I had talked with the technician and he stated there was a service bulletin regarding this issue and it required replacement of the engine mounts. Now, since my truck was still under warranty I expected this issue to be resolved and since my wife and I bought our vehicles there. Chris in service then placed me in a loaner vehicle and stated they will call me when parts arrive and when my truck was done. Tuesday then rolls around and the service manager Barry calls me and says we are not fixing the truck and to pick it up since he believed I was the one that ordered the parts. That doesn't even make any sense.. So me being a paying customer and having a truck that's under 30k miles, the selling dealer isn't fixing this issue. Not only are they not fixing the concern, the management is horrific at this location. How do you call yourself a service manager when you are nothing more than a glorified service advisor on a power-trip. Then the general managerMike Longan calls me after his micro-manager Barry tells him about the situation at hand. Expecting Mr. Longan to handle this and get his service manager under control he then proceeds to tell me the same thing. How can Autonation expect to succeed in the Automotive industry with having buffoons like this running it. I really feel sorry for the employees there. I will no longer be doing my service there nor purchasing another vehicle from there. The most horrible experience I have ever had at any establishment. More
Horrible Experience SERVICE REVIEW BEWARE- was asked to write a review for them before after having a service back in October had an oil change and tire rotation and then SERVICE REVIEW BEWARE- was asked to write a review for them before after having a service back in October had an oil change and tire rotation and then a couple days after that my tire pressure monitoring system stopped working. I took the car back after making an appointment just to get all the monitors replaced I figured my car was now 4 yrs old they probably needed replacing the service Advisor Wayne looked at me and told me he had no time to do my car after I made an appointment I was getting the sensors from them and everything just wanted my car fixed. I usually take my car to the dealership where I bought my Chevy but got lazy cause it is a little ways from my house in clarksville the whole service team and sales team out there is amazing at Winkelly. You can call and actually talk to a technician about your car not a service Advisor who don't know about a car they not ASE certified. So I usually don't do reviews unless I have something nice to say so I didn't do the review in October. I am doing a review now because of my latest encounter with them. My car was taken to them on a Wed morning it would not start and the service Advisor Everett told me it would take him a couple of hours to get it in and get it diagnose and give me a call.Well I ended up calling him around the end of the day and he had nothing for me the car had not been diagnose. Well this I'll give you call as soon as I know something went on everyday and he never called me I ended up calling him around 3:30 in the afternoon for several days because the last courtesy shuttle ran at 4 pm. well he told me for at least three days the car had not been diagnose and he had no clue still what was wrong with my car questioning him he was like we have people cars for weeks. Its going on a week now still no car they say my car needs a battery wow that's something you could have knew first day they got it started now another issue. meanwhile I still don't have a car no good customer service cause I have to call Everett all the time he never thought to call to give me any kind of update and that was the most frustrating thing. He never knew anything either until I called my real dealership WINKELLY and arranged to tow my car to them because I was tired of the B.S. at AUTO NATION. Soon as I went up there to remove my car all of a sudden he wants to call me and tell me he knows whats wrong with my car and can have it fixed today. At this point I just wanted my car off their lot. I let him fix it took it off their lot. Don't buy that extended warranty they call you wanting you to buy to because MR.Everett made sure my stuff wasn't covered by the warranty. It's all a shame. PLEASE BE WARE DON'T TAKE YOUR CAR THERE FOR SERVICE. I have heard people talking about just leaving there the day before and they back today with the same problem and their car still wasn't fixed.
