We bought a used Buick from Packey, it is a super good find. A 2016 with 31k miles. Super clean with the leather seats bearly having creases. It drove like a dream and when they ran the numbers we were gi find. A 2016 with 31k miles. Super clean with the leather seats bearly having creases. It drove like a dream and when they ran the numbers we were given an easy, zero tension negotiation on the price. We didnt buy any additional warranty but were told we had 5 days/500 miles of coverage should something major to break. This is an Illinois state law warrant. Well the following day I went to get gas and the brake pedal goes to the floor. I've never owned a push button car so I pull out the book to see if that still means no brakes or if I did something wrong starting the car. I called the dealer and I spoke to the used car manager. He was so reassuring I was going to be okay. He asked where I was, said he was sending a flat bed tow truck, offered me an Uber ride home at their expense and assured me they would fix whatever had happened and he would give the car a 2nd inspection. He said the car was given a used car inspection but not a certified used car inspection becof its age, but that he was ordering a certified inspection that evening. He called several times keeping me informed on the eta of the tow truck and just to simply ask me if i was doing okay. He asked if i felt like i was in a safe spot, when he called the next day, he explained a clamp that holds the break line in place had broke and fell off. He explained they fix it and then also replaced the other wheels brake line clamps as well as a general precaution. He sent the car back to my home with a mechanic to explain everything they fixed and inspected and I was so pleased. As soon as it happened I thought he we go, I'm gonna have to fight for what is right but I was so wrong. Brandon the used car manager was so thorough I was in pleasant shock. My husband and I then took it to our local mechanic in lemont(Bill Hayes auto body shop). He also gave the car a good lookout and found nothing else of concern. Our mechanic confirmed everything Packeys mechanic said. The car was a great buy, a rare find for the year and mileage. I will absolutely recommend buying a used car from Packey Webb. They were above and beyond wonderful. The ironic part is back in 2005, I had an old 1994 ford Taurus, as I was driving home my old girl turned off and I lost my brakes and steering as I was coming up on Packey webbs driveway. I managed to get my old Taurus to come to a stop behind their building near the service exit doors. I wasn't their customer, I was just a young woman with a very broken car. Their mechanic popped the hood, took a quick look and asked if I had triple A. I said no, I didnt have anything like that and couldn't afford a tow truck. I asked If I could call my father or a freind to get the money for one to come. That mechanic went back Inside was gone a out 15 minutes ,while I was frantically looking for a freind to help. He came outside & said Packey Webb was paying for a tow to get me home safely. The mechanic told me not to start the car. The timing chain and water pump had some issue I didnt really comprehend. I wasn't their customer back then. I wasn't their service department client but I was a ford owner who broke down in their parking lot. Flash forward to this past week and Packey Webb still had that same compassion for people. Those are my only 3 interactions with Packey Webb but those 3 outcomes have made me a forever customer. When a company treats a non customer with such empathy and then treats a new customer with zero push back, to me they are a business to stay in partnership with. Our next car will come from Packey Webb again. Customer focused car sales is extremely hard to find. Packey Webb has proven to my husband and I their values are the same today as they were almost 20 some years ago. When you treat people with kindness and empathy. Those people return as customers. Please give Packey Webb a look when. Shopping for your next used car. They are worth the time and business!!! More
