Buyer Beware Lots of calls no response or action First I purchased a Certified Preowned 2018 Fusion. It had a chip in the windshield right in the line of sight and damage to one of the rear rim First I purchased a Certified Preowned 2018 Fusion. It had a chip in the windshield right in the line of sight and damage to one of the rear rims. Which were to be fixed by them. The 1st day I had the car the heated and cooled front passenger seat didn't work. I called and they said it would be 1 week before they could get it in. When I did bring it into then they had the car for 1 week. When I picked it up the windshield still wasn't repaired. The seat was fixed but there were dirt marks on the seat and the back portion of the seat was not attached at the bottom. The were also to provide with a second key Still no second key only a partial FOB there working on it .They did repair the rim. They said they would set something up to fix the windshield. Next day I tried to turn on heated side mirrors and they didn't work either. I was told it will be over 1 week before they can get it in to fix. At this point I am very dissatisfied with what is to be a CERTIFIED PREOWNED 2018 FUSION. They said they will take the car back on trade minus $750.00 for the short time I actually had the car. Plus a WHOLE LOT MORE MONEY to get a new 2019 lower trim level. We had looked at cars on line with Victor and were given the impression by Victor that they were in route to Palm Coast Ford but would not be there for at least a week. We were going to be on a cruise and out of town so the car would not be driven that week. We told Victor we had want the car in Ingot Silver Metallic same as the 2018 CPO Fusion we were returning . Victor had even printed the work sheet on it and the window stick printout with the vin number. He walked me to my new car and it is not the color of car promised to me our on the paperwork. It is not the vin number of the car we had told him we wanted. He claims that it is the same car just a different color. Come to find out the cars were not in route to them and the car Victor walked me to was from a different Ford dealership. No worries they have an excuse for everything they do. Next less than 24 hours later the title for the 2018 car which I needed to take to them came in the mail. We also received a flyer for $1000.00 Amazon gift card with purchase 12/26/18 through 1/3/19. We purchased our car on 12/27/18 due to late mail delivery we did not have the flyer on 12/27/18 nor did the sale staff mention that there was a flyer for $1000.00 Amazon gift card available. On 12/28/18 less than 24 hours after we purchased the car the flyer was given to Don the General manager and along with title to the 2018 Fusion that was given to Sean Bennett in the finance department. Multiple messages were left to no avail. I was told to I had to sign a paper that they had shown me how to operate the features of the car but I had to go onto YouTube to learn how to use them. Now they are calling on 1/8/19 about FORD PASS feature that they did not activate. They need to show they activated it. I have owned Ford's from my first car a 1961 Mercury (Ford ) Comet , Ranger, Mustangs, Explorer, F150 and previous 2013 Fusion I traded. Palm Coast Ford USED to be a place I would recommend people. It will now be a place I WARN people about. How not to become a victim of the questionable sales practices and most definitely not customer first. I will be writing a letter to Phil Perry "Customer Relations Manager" and James Hackett "CEO" at Ford to let them know my disappointment. I will also be sharing my experience at Palm Coast Ford . Help on a rough road trip On December 29, 2018 I was travelling home from Fort Pierce, Florida to Doswell, Virginia. I left Fort Pierce around noon and almost immediately got On December 29, 2018 I was travelling home from Fort Pierce, Florida to Doswell, Virginia. I left Fort Pierce around noon and almost immediately got a warning that my water/fuel separate needed to be drained (I have a 2008 F250 diesel 4X4). This is common for this time of year due to condensation in the line. However, the warning increased and produced the green wrench symbol (this is never a good thing in this truck). So I was stopping at every rest stop to drain the separator; which was producing more than 16 ounces of drainage per stop. I finally contacted my neighbor to let her know that I was having trouble with my truck and would be delayed returning home. She researched the area on-line and found Palm Coast Ford. She contacted your dealership and spoke with Kristin and told her the situation. Kristin told her if I could get the truck there by 4 p.m., they would be able to take a look at it. I arrived at the dealership about 3:55 p.m. I was greeted by a very polite young man who directed me to a service attendant, John. John took my truck, plugged it in to the computer and determined the problem; water in the fuel = a bad tank of diesel. He also explained the best solution for repairing the truck (drain the tank, let it dry and then refill with clean fuel). However, he isn't a certified diesel mechanic and they did not have one present. So, I could either leave the truck or keep heading home and stopping regularly to drain the separator and add clean fuel. I opted for heading home. John provided me with the print out of the diagnostic, gave me directions to the interstate and did not charge me anything. I tell you all of this because I have NEVER had a Ford dealership provide me with the excellent service John, Kristin and several other staff showed me that day. And it wasn't just good customer service, it was Christian generosity and kindness. I apologize for not knowing the names of all the people who helped me. There was a gentlemen who spoke with my neighbor the second time she called, the attendant who greeted me and another young man who was with John. All of these people played a part in giving me the help and hope I needed to continue my trip home. Please pass my appreciation along to them all! I consider them a blessing and wish them all the best. More
