On the positive side, I appreciate the sales consultant being upfront with me via email. It saved me a trip to the dealership. On the down side, the dealership engages in sales practices that are simply being upfront with me via email. It saved me a trip to the dealership. On the down side, the dealership engages in sales practices that are simply NOT good for anyone including the dealership. I'm talking about forcing the customer to purchase the "Environmental Package" for $2,595. In fact, it's illegal to do what they are doing. I call foul on that. I also say they are not being truthful when they say the package is applied to every vehicle when hits the lot. If that were true, they would not be able to trade vehicles with other dealerships, which happens all the time. I have a friend who purchased a RAM truck from a different dealer in Wisconsin. That dealership traded one of their trucks for one of Palmen's trucks because the truck on Palmen's lot was a better match of the features and color he wanted. Would not be able to do this if there was an Environmental Package applied to the truck. I think the Environmental Package is just an overpriced warranty that they are forcing customers to buy, and claiming that once it's "applied" it cannot be removed. Andy Palmen, if you are reading this, can you explain how a vehicle you claim cannot have the environmental package removed, can still be traded to another dealer? This is a bad (and illegal) practice you are engaging in at your dealership Andy. My gosh, watch the movie Fargo if you haven't. Ryan provided the best customer service I have ever experienced. He talked to me thoroughly about the scope of the service I required, made me aware of a recall on my Jeep, and kept me aware of the pr experienced. I had asked him what the process would be should my Jeep breakdown when the service department wasn't open. He explained the process to me and when I arrived to pick up my Jeep he showed me where to find the envelopes and the slot in the door where it would need to be deposited. He also had someone pick up the recall parts in Racine in order for me to get everything completed in one day. Ryan explained my warranty on the battery and the other part that was repaired when I came to pick up my Jeep. I was so pleased with the outstanding service Ryan provided that I am now a lifelong customer of Palmen Motors. I consider Ryan a valuable asset of your team! Thank you, Laura More
