My family and I traded in my 2022 Ford F150 Raptor and purchased a 2018 used Lincoln Navigator on November 15th. My family and I looked at several cars while on site and were set to purchase the 2022 Dodge Durango but passed on it because like someone had been in there smoking incents and appeared that there was a lack of effort to try and get rid of the smell. The Lincoln Navigator we purchased was not even listed on the dealership website. After getting the vehicle home and looking at it during the day light hours on Sunday, I noticed that the skid plate located underneath the car was missing a bolt and hanging off the bottom. Also, the speaker in the right passenger door was blown and needed replacing along with the air vents located in the ceiling above the captain's chairs in the second row and the drink holder was broken at the bottom of the console in the second row. I reached out to the dealership on Monday morning , Noember 16th to see if i could unwind this particular deal and possibly look at making another deal for the 2022 Durango we had looked at on Saturday evening. I was told that I could not unwind the deal. At this point I have had this car LESS THAN 48 hours, and I am being told that the deal can't be undone, but since you bought the extended warranty, you can bring the car back in and we can work to make the needed repairs. I brought the car back in for the repairs on Thursday, November 13th and was given a loaner car. I received a call from my salesman on Friday afternoon that the car was ready and that some of the repairs to the skid plate and the broken cup holder had been repaired and that the parts for the other repairs were on order and they would call me when the parts arrived. After picking up the I saw the skid plate had been repaired, and the broken drink holder had not been repaired. I called my salesman and told him that the cup holder had not been repaired, and he responded back with "they said they fixed it". At the end of the day, I realize I purchased a used car. It is not going to be showroom brand new, but if you are going to maintain that all of your cars are certified pre-owned vehicles, then please make sure everything is in taken care of and any repairs to the car are made before you sell the car. More
