I brought my 2013 1500 Ram Pick-Up to Palmer Dodge because it was stalling and kicking out of gear. They said it needed to have the value cover gaskets replaced as well as the spark plugs. The total cost of this repair was estimated to be $2,045. When I asked why it was so expensive, it was explained to me that the job would take 9 hours at $180 per hour labor cost + parts. My mistake was not calling a few local mechanics to get a additional quotes. One day after picking up my vehicle, the Check Engine Light is back on. With a little effort, I was able to determine I paid more than twice the going rate for this repair. Estimated labor time is 4 hours. I don't recommend taking your vehicle to Palmer Dodge. More
