The oil service and tire rotation went fine, no issues. When I asked for help regarding my navigation system that worked until the same dealership updated my Uconnect firmware for me (they said it needed When I asked for help regarding my navigation system that worked until the same dealership updated my Uconnect firmware for me (they said it needed to be done) , Winston immediately told me that it would cost $165 to update the software and potentially more if the radio unit had to be replaced. I was shocked that what I had thought was a simple firmware fix had now become my problem and a potentially expensive one at that. He said he didn’t know what happened at my last service - in spite of the fact that I explained that the dealership would have a service record of my last visit. He didn’t even check - he just gave me the FCA service number on a business card. I’m short it felt as if Winston did the minimum thing required to get me out of the service office so that I was someone else’s problem. When I did contact FCA I was told my issue required only a simple UcConnect software update and the customer service rep (Leo) told me how to effect the update. He had called the dealership and they had given him bad info. I had anticipated that this would happen when I asked Winston to write down what I needed to tell FCA customer support yesterday, but he declined). I told Winston directly that I thought he was wrong about his proposed remedy and he made no effort to look at my vehicle service history - he just passed me along to FCA customer support. His lack of effort is why I only rated this service as 3/5 stars. More
