Paradise Chevrolet Cadillac responded

The vehicle in question was a Saturn which everyone knows is no longer made. That in itself if just a small problem. The bigger problem is that the customer customized the vehicle. Now you are dealing with a customized Saturn which is very difficult to get parts for. The vehicle should have been totalled, but the customer did not have gap insurance which means he would have to pay the difference between what was owed and the value if it was totalled. The customer pushed the insurance company to not total the vehicle. So now we have to continue to authorization from the insurance company for the repairs that kept coming up because of the customization that needed done. The customer had a $950 deductible, however Paradise Chevrolet paid for $500 of that. In addition, Paradise paid for the customers rental car which was $1493.06. All in all, yes it was a long time due to availablity of parts and continued need to get authorization from the insurance company, but Paradise was in constant contact with customer and even contributed almost $2000 to help this customer. There is only so much we could have done in this case for this customer. The vehicle should have been totalled, but the customer kept begging the ins company not to becuuse he was extremely negative on his car loan...What more could Paradise have done to accomodate this customer?
