I am writing you to let you know I am very disappointed with Paragon Honda. I bought a Honda Civic 2010 on Nov. 19,2012. It was the first time I bought a car. The salesman Sultan Haseq referred me to Alan with Paragon Honda. I bought a Honda Civic 2010 on Nov. 19,2012. It was the first time I bought a car. The salesman Sultan Haseq referred me to Alan Gensler Business Manager to get the financing approved. He told me that it was a requirement to get a Paragon Honda package to get a low financing including Honda Care, credit protection and other equipment $6614. What is other equipment? There is no itemization in my receipt. All of these in addition to the car payment which increased my monthly payment to $381.65 for 60 months. When I asked to pay in 36 months, he said the financing was for 60 months. He assured me that I would be receiving the Honda Care package in 2 weeks. As of today I have not received the package, even though I have already paid 2 months. At the end of December,I went to Paragon Honda to find out in person and asked Mr. Gensler why I have not received it yet. The ridiculous response was that I should wait after the next month because it was a delay due to those clients affected by Hurricane Sandy were given priority. I am still waiting for the Honda Care package. I am very disappointed because it looks like Paragon Honda does not care about my concern. More
The dealer was very nice and friendly on my first day of visit and broke down the prices of a new Honda Accord that i was looking for, such as the price, tax, delivery to destination, plate, etc. Five days visit and broke down the prices of a new Honda Accord that i was looking for, such as the price, tax, delivery to destination, plate, etc. Five days later, me and one of my family member got off work 2 hours early to buy the car, we even made a called before we go there. Dealer spoke nicely on the phone... But once we got there, he gave us a new offer which was $2000 increment from last offer. He said last week's offer was for last week and he said that the last offer did not include tax, delivery fees... This is my last experience dealing with paragon and i will not recommend this to any of my friends. They played us and wasted my time, so be aware of scammers in this company, it sounds cheap but you will eventually spend more money here than anywhere else. After reading various google reviews of people who have had the same experience, I realized dealers here are being dishonest, so i decided to rather spend more money at another dealer instead of getting ripped off here. I saw a vehicle on their website. send an email and got a quick reply from Alexandra Mcpherson on jan 11-2013. Later that day another sales man called me. I said yes I am interested in the car, do you still have it available? and he said and quote: " oh I don't really know, but we have a great selection of cars",I said, thanks, I will be calling back. 20 minutes later I called Alexandra. I asked about the vehicle, if it was available, and if so to setup an appointment and test drive. For today sunday at 2pm, and she said, it's ok, we'll see you at 2pm. Today sunday jan 13-2013 at 11:45 Am, another sales man by the name of DAVID MUNOZ called me, to remind me of my appointment, and to ask for him. And I specifically asked him: " is the vehicle still available? and he said: yes, definitely. just come by. I drove for about 1 hour to get to the place. At the entrance every sales man is harassing you. I asked for David, he introduced himself, very nice, then he sent me another guy ( did not read the name tag), and we sat down, the usual talk, showed me the carfax. And then he said, OK I am going to get the car for you to test drive it , and the we will sit down and discuss the price and terms. 10 minutes later he came back, and went directly to DAVID and told him something. My guess: The car is no longer available. Then this guy DAVID goes and tells me: " mm are you interested in other vehicles? I said: NO. he then said: " it seems the car in not available, I am trying to find out what seems to be the problem ". He did not contact anybody, just sat down there, the other guy disappeared of my view. And then after 15 minutes I asked him: " excuse me, can you tell me whats going on? and the tells me: " Oh, I am sorry, I don't know what is happening " I mean, are you serious? We were just sitting there like fools. I was so upset because he had just told me no more than 2 hours ago that the car was available but I said thanks very much, and just walked away. Now I am writing this review, so other people like me from out of the state stay out of the state and dont waste their time visiting this dealer. I went to the place after reading several bad reviews. HUGE MISTAKE. Take into account the reviews... And do yourself a favor and don't waste your time. More
the experience that i had at paragon honda was great. from the time i got on the lot, i was greeted by a young energetic, vibrant, honest young man by the name of Kazi. Kazi truly deserves much praise for his hard work and dedication for going above and beyond the call of duty to help me in my experience of buying a brand new 2013 car. Even on his day off Kazi came in to finalize some paperwork for me. overall i really enjoyed the experience due to this young man. it is my deepest hope that he stays on this path of being a public servant, helping other to achieve their piece of the american pie. It would be my pleasure to recommend anyone of my family members or friends to kazi and i know that they will also experience what i was a part of. much kudos and high praises for you young man..... Very good people. They gave me a $21k car, (I looked up the value myself) for 17k. Great deal. They are very willing to work with you so you can drive away in the car you actually want. This recent purchase was my 4th vehicle purchased from Paragon Honda. Working with Shawn Brown has been a wonderful experience. He is very friendly and attentive and made sure I got a great deal. My wait time was minimal and I was able to take delivery of my 2013 CRV. i was even able to get my insurance lowered! His manager Ariel is also very friendly as was the delivery coordinator, Elsie Tavarez. Elsie made sure I understood all the features of my vehicle. I would highly recommend Paragon Honda and working with Shawn, Ariel and Elsie. They also have an amazing team in their finance department as well. I felt no pressure at all and felt very comforable with all their friendly staff. Thank you Shawn for making my experience with Paragon Honda such a wonderful one. If you looking to buy a car and want to negotiate with this dealer over the phone regarding prices and inventory, please don't waste your time. This dealership has no clue what is in their inventory so if you call and they say it's in stock, they are lying. Due to Hurricane Sandy, I lost my car and was urgent to get into a new one. I already did my research on what model and color car I wanted and Paragon offered a decent deal so I made an appointment to test drive a coffee color Honda CRV EXL with Nav. They said they are bringing it down and will be ready by the time I arrive. I live in Brooklyn so I had to borrow a car from someone. Once I arrived, I waited over 30 minutes to speak to someone and another hour for them to tell me the car I wanted wasn't there, and was on it's way from Brooklyn. (which is a lie). We were there for 3 hours and still the car hasn't arrived so we filled out the paperwork, PAID THE DOWN PAYMENT, got the insurance done and they changed the VIN number 3 times cause they didn't know the correct VIN number. THIS PLACE HAS ABSOLUTELY NO CLUE ON WHAT THEY HAVE IN STOCK. And finally I was told that it will be in tomorrow morning and sales rep said he will make sure it's ready. The next morning, I took a 2 hour train ride there, and guess what? They didn't have the car. If they knew this, why did they make me take a 2 hour train ride? not only they didn't have the car, they forced me into a car that I didn't want. And after waiting another 3+ hours and due to the urgency, and many errands I had to take care of due to the storm, I walked out with a car which already had over 10 miles on it, a dark grey with grey interior. Opposite of what I wanted which was suppose to have a black interior. I kept in communication with the sales rep, but he didn't care, they already got the sale, so I wrote to the General Manager Brett, I sent him an e-mail regarding my situation, and didn't get any response back. This place couldn't even put my old plates on the car, not only my insurance was changed 3 times, now I have my old plates on hand, no insurance on the totaled car from the storm, so now I have to deal with an insurance lapse. Stay away from here and go somewhere else that will at least not force you to come in the next morning and lie saying the car is ready when they know I was suppose to take a long train ride there. I could of went to a Honda dealer walking distance from where I lived and saw the car I wanted, but Paragon really took advantage. So if your a hurricane victim, this place will make your life worst. I wasted 2 days to get a car I didn't want and every day I think about what kind of people will do this to victims of a hurricane, and not even say they are sorry or offering alternatives, or help after writing to everyone. People I dealt with is April, Ariel, Bud, and a finance manager who tried to pull a quick one at the end after all this. Unbelievable. More
By far, paragon is the worst dealer in NYC. My experience with them has been nothing but unpleasant, simply HORRIBLE!!!, I wouldn’t want anyone experiencing what I have. I encountered issues the first day I purchased a 08 Honda Accord Coupe EX V6. Paragon uses a body shop located on Northern and 57th St, this place uses the cheapest type of paint and the quality of work is absolutely horrendous; they painted the wrong fender and used the wrong color of paint!!! Paragon sided with the shop and had them work on my car for a second time; they made the issue even worst. “Joe” the used cars manager provided nothing but horrible service, all he did was “attempt” to make the customer happy, until the customer leaves the lot, then you are SCREWED. My second mistake was having my car serviced there (31st Ave), they over charge for labor, they replaced a part that didn’t need to be replaced, according to Honda it should be replaced at 110,000 miles, paragon replaced it at 45,000 miles because it showed “cracking”, I only drive my car on the weekends!!!! And to top it off they left two (2) huge deep scratches on the passenger door!! What did the service advisor tell me: “It happens”; Really? That’s how much you care about your customers? If you don’t want headaches, problems with your car, TERRIBLE service, and get screwed over STAY AWAY from paragon. The biggest thievery is NYC by far. More
