If you like wasting your time or perhaps observe an example of complete and utter incompetence, this is the place for you. I brought in my Ioniq 5 for service last year for some recalls, an inopera example of complete and utter incompetence, this is the place for you. I brought in my Ioniq 5 for service last year for some recalls, an inoperative USB data port for CarPlay and inoperative over the air updates. The service advisor was very dismissive and said that Hyundai’s don’t do over the air updates. Well, the Ioniq 5 was one of the first cars to offer that for some features and other users were getting their updates but mine weren’t working despite being subscribed to the blue link. Regarding the USB issue, again the service advisor was dismissive. I was told that my phone port probably needs to be cleaned, or that I’m probably using the wrong type of cable. This is an early model Ioniq 5 and others were having a similar issue of CarPlay constantly disconnecting. The known fix was to replace the USB port. But they didn’t want to listen to me and they did a “reset” of the radio system. When I got the car back, the USB issue was still present as ever and the OTA updates didn’t work. So I brought in the car recently again for another recall and the same issues with the USB and OTA’s. They said that they have to charge me a $250 diagnostic fee. I asked why if the car is still under the warranty. The service advisor said, that maybe I won’t be charged the fee but I still have to sign the form to allow the charging of the fee. I asked the service advisor what determines if I’m charged the fee? She said that she didn’t know!! What? This is your job!!! Finally I spoke to the manager and she said that the fee is charged if something outside the warranty is found to be the issue (flood damage, etc.). Ok this made sense but I don’t understand why the service advisor doesn’t know this simple fact. After leaving the car with them, they fixed the recall issue but said they needed to order the USB port. (Which they should have done on my first visit). They said the part will arrive in 2 days so I said they can keep the car and fix it when the part arrives. After 2 days it turns out they ordered the wrong part. So I pickup the car and they said the new part will be in next week and someone would call me. 2 weeks goes by and no phone call. So I called them and they had the part but hadn’t received the call. Finally they replaced the USB port and now CarPlay works. If they were more receptive the first time, or just cared enough to do a good thorough job I wouldn’t have to make 3 visits to get this fixed. OTA updates still don’t work though. I will never recommend a Hyundai to anyone again after these experiences. There is a book out there called “The Art of not giving a f—k.” It must have been written by Paramus Hyundai staff because this is where they really shine. More

Constantinos is great to work with. We've had some bad service experiences in the last but he is always good to work with, is on top of things and communicates well. made an appt to bring my husband’s high-end Hyundai here on 2/19/24. My husband and I each drove separate cars, 1 hour round trip to drop the car off. Despite me having given the scheduling agent ALL the on 2/19/24. My husband and I each drove separate cars, 1 hour round trip to drop the car off. Despite me having given the scheduling agent ALL the correct car info, (make, model and year) and a full clear list of all the items we needed fixed for the service appt, when we arrived we were told that that particular service center could not address 2 of the 3 issues we had. I was so annoyed bc our time was wasted. I left and proceeded to make a series of ten phone calls, asking for managers and escalating the issue. I left 3 VMs for 3 different managers explaining in detail the issue we had and asking for a call back. NOT one single person has called back to date. I also spoke live to Sammatha, 3 times that day and she assured me that her boss, Heather would call me back. Well, it’s been 5 days and no word from Heather. Why? because NO ONE cares. That is the level of service you get when you buy an 80K car. We are better off with our local mom and pop gas station mechanic where we live. I just called them again on 2/23/24 and spoke with Constantinos in the service dept. I asked him for Heather, he said he didn’t know who that was, but put me on hold for 6 minutes and came back and said the manager would call me back. I asked what the managers name was and he said “we are not allowed to give out that info” Really? What kind of crap is that? You know she isn’t calling back either. Seriously, go elsewhere More
They screw up and then the service manager Vivian acts like she is doing you some god forsaken favor by providing a loaner car after I had to rearrange my work schedule, drag my way up to her service depa like she is doing you some god forsaken favor by providing a loaner car after I had to rearrange my work schedule, drag my way up to her service department AGAIN because my car was in their shop for 8 hours and the work was not completed. Not to mention I'm covered under my bumper to bumper warranty and got charged a diag fee of $200. No multipoint. Then when you try to call her out she will berate you and make it look like you are the bad guy in front of other customers! It took a complaint to Hyundai and multiple phone calls before she even agreed to help. Then hits me with a surprise hold on my CC that will not go back for 90 days. SO DO NOT ACT LIKE YOUR ARE DOING ME ANY FAVORS MS. VIVIAN. I will most defiantly be sharing my experience with everyone I know and making sure they stay as far away as possible. I gave you guys a second chance and once again you shown customer service is your last priority. More
Two Service Department Managers and Advisors were disrespectful, 2022 Hyundai Santa Cruz pick up, blind spot monitoring system alert keeps coming on every few minutes. Car has 15k miles, dealer canno disrespectful, 2022 Hyundai Santa Cruz pick up, blind spot monitoring system alert keeps coming on every few minutes. Car has 15k miles, dealer cannot fix problem but nun the less said I owe $400 for diagnostics. I could go to Auto zone for free diagnostics. They gave me back an unsafe vehicle! Paramus Hyundai has the absolute worst Service department. Aside buying a new car with issues, starting with recalls, converter, and ultimately the motor, leaving me stranded in two states. The department. Aside buying a new car with issues, starting with recalls, converter, and ultimately the motor, leaving me stranded in two states. The Advisor, Konstantinos is demeaning person that uses his knowledge as power to intimidate seniors like me, he makes you feel stupid. If I chose not do to the list of recommended maintenance repairs costing thousands of dollars, the advisor would get upset and quiz you every word making me feel I am at risk. The Paramus Hyundai owner/s should not tolerate this behavior. Sad to say, I would NEVER, EVER recommend the Paramus Hyuandai. Hyundai headquarters/customer care should be aware of such behavior as well as the State of New Jersey Better Business Bureau and Senior Citizen Advocates. More
