Took my car in for 90/100,000 mile service. Knew I needed a new drive belt, but figured I would also need some routine maintenance. After a long wait time in their very luxurious lobby, they told me the belt a new drive belt, but figured I would also need some routine maintenance. After a long wait time in their very luxurious lobby, they told me the belt did need to be replaced, but they also said my brakes were completed worn to dangerous levels (0-2mm) in both the front and back. They quoted ~$500 to fix the brake system. I had not heard any squeaking or other brake noise, nor had I had any difficulty braking so I told them to wait on this. I took my car to Meineke in College Park, MD, and asked for a brake inspection. They took all the tires off my car to access the brakes (Passport did not do this which should have been the first red flag), and determined that all of my brakes were at healthy levels (6mm+) and did not need to be replaced except one that rotor that needed a cleaning for $45. Will never return to Passport Toyota for service again. More
My daughter's car was stalling and the engine light came on. So we took her 2002 Camry to the Service Center to have it fixed. We asked our service rep. Mr. Horace to have the car diagnosed and to let us kn on. So we took her 2002 Camry to the Service Center to have it fixed. We asked our service rep. Mr. Horace to have the car diagnosed and to let us know what work needed to be done to stop the stalling and engine light from coming on. They examined the car and stated it would only need a new fuel pump and some battery work done to fix the aforementioned problem. Trusting in the diagnosis, my daughter agreed to have the work done which totaled about $1,300.00. Once the work was done, my daughter, who is a college student that took that money out of her already depleted savings, picked up the car and began driving it home. About 15 minutes into the drive, the car began to stall and the engine light came on as it did before we had any work done. As a result, we immediately returned the car to the service center. They diagnosed it again and then stated some major engine work was needed and the parts alone would cost $2,000.00. Now my questions are: (1) why didn't they tell us this in the beginning before we spent $1,300.00? (2) Why when the mechanic who test-drove the car after the work was done did not notice the engine light was still on and the car was still stalling? (3) Who does this, repair a car to only realize it has the same problems and then return it to customer? I believe the work for the 2002 Toyota was severely understated to cause us to behave in a manner that benefited the dealership. Had we known the truth, we would have behaved differently. We would have only paid the diagnostic fee. It's just not rational to have a fuel pump replaced first on a car that has engine problems. Let's look at it this way, would they be okay if this was done to their mother, sister, or daughter. I don't think so. More

They are clueless and have no ethics I have been to this dealership three times because my 2018 Toyota Tacoma with 11,000 miles on it has a faulty braking system. When I start the engine I have been to this dealership three times because my 2018 Toyota Tacoma with 11,000 miles on it has a faulty braking system. When I start the engine, put it in drive and release the emergency brake, the real wheels lock. This doesn't happen every single time, but it's happened enough to have become a problem as the wheels scream attracting people who witness it to advise me to release the emergency brake, which is always released. I've got videos inside and outside the car. Passport keeps running a computer scan, which neither shows nor diagnoses the issue and now they've refused to actually look at the braking system, under the car--to do an inspection. Corporate keeps telling me that Chris Scripture, the service manager is going to call me and he keeps saying he has, but I've got no messages or evidence he tried and didn't leave a message. When I finally called and waited 20 minutes to get him on the phone, he said he couldn't duplicate the problem, and if it didn't happen to him, regardless of the videos and my documentation, he wasn't going to actually inspect the back end of the car. He basically backpedaled on everything he told Corporate. I've had three Tacomas and I purchased one at this dealership. Steer clear of this dealership. They want your money, but they have no ethics and they do not care if you are driving around with a faulty braking system. More
