Shopping for a specific pre-owned vehicle for my son who has been saving for this purchase for quite some time. Reached out to the dealership about this particular car and started a text conversation with has been saving for this purchase for quite some time. Reached out to the dealership about this particular car and started a text conversation with Levi. Went through several details with Levi in a text thread and made an appointment to see the car. Head out from halfway across Dallas in 6pm traffic to see this specific car. Arrived at the dealership and didn't see the vehicle on the lot. Stood outside our vehicle for a minute and was never approached. Ok. Step inside and the extremely courteous front desk lady greeted us. Asked for Levi as we had an appointment. She calls someone, apparently Levi and he was with a client. Stood there another 5-10 minutes as the front desk lady tried to corral someone just to talk to me. I had been standing on the sales floor and there weren't that many sales people. Understandable in these times, but I pretty much made eye contact with every sales person in there as they all walked about. One sales person was walking by and she asked him since Levi was not available could he help me...He scanned me, then noticed a young guy walking towards the screaming yellow Corvette and said no, I need to help these guys first. He seen me standing there several minutes prior and blew right past me for the customer who just pulled up...I have my son standing beside me with cash literally hanging out of his pockets trying to buy something and I felt we were prejudged for some odd reason as the guy bolted towards the young kid and the Corvette. Finally after about 15 minutes of awkwardly standing there hoping someone would say hello to us, let alone sell my son car , approached us. He got the VIN and stock number and went to the sales office to find the keys and the car. After ANOTHER 10-15 minutes he walks up and said sorry the car is not available anymore and was sent to auction a few days ago. ARE YOU KIDDING ME. I was beside myself. I thanked the young man who actually helped me and left. How could a dealership/sales person text a person all day about a car that isn't even on your lot anymore, have that person drive halfway across Dallas to come see said car, not come out and at least introduce yourself and do a nice handoff to a salesperson who was available.. Unprofessional to say the least. Kudos to the young salesman and front desk person for at least trying to help. Very Very frustrating situation. I can only imagine how the sales process WOULD have gone down. More
I did not have an appointment and therms were able to squeeze me in. The service writer took excellent care and pointed additional issues and they handle it for me.
