Sneaky and dishonest! We purchased a truck about a month ago once I arrived home I realized that there was over $7,000 worth of adds. Adds that cost, warranty $4,500, winds We purchased a truck about a month ago once I arrived home I realized that there was over $7,000 worth of adds. Adds that cost, warranty $4,500, windshield protection $1,295, key replacement $822, and chemical protection $749. Coverages that make no sense to purchase, when either items is cheaper to replace. Just for the record this is a Silverado not a Benz or BMW. Once I contacted my salesperson, he went ahead to stated thru text that I would have to wait 3 months to be able to cancel any of it. After doing a little research and asking a family member, I was told that extended warranties and coverages CAN BE cancelled at ANYTIME best if done within 30 days for a 100% of your money back. Unfortunately for me I found this out a month later after all the running around. Month and a half later, today I walked into the dealer to cancel all this coverages and I was help by “finance manager” the only one currently there this morning according to the front desk. Which he later hesitated on giving us his name or giving us a business card. Just to know who we dealt with. After literally having to argue with him on why we wanted to cancel this coverages, he makes a quick phone call to his warranty department and asked which coverages can and can’t be cancel, luckily my uncle heard the conversation where the other person on the phone told the “finance Manager” “Just between you and I, all coverages can be cancelled.” Then tried two tell us that two of those coverages can’t be cancelled. After telling him we heard the conversation he went ahead and said that he just doesn’t know how but will figure out and call us. We agreed to wait for this “call” and left his off, just to turn back around and see how he was standing at someone else office giving us a rude look. Buyer beware: if you read this make sure you check your bottom line $$ before all the excitement kicks in and you walk out this dealership. If you are reading this after, remember you can cancel warranties at any time. They are sneaky and dishonest in my eyes ! More
