After paying for the car at the cashier when it was supposedly complete, I ended up waiting an abomination of 60 mins for them to bring my car out to me. After seeing customer after customer who dropped their car off and paid for their service after me and get their cars back as I waited in their lounge, I brought the issue to their attention. Apparently they forgot about me and left my car in the garage that entire time which is inexcusable. How someone could not notice that a car is sitting in their shop is beyond me. This is the equivalent of a restaurant kitchen losing your order slip or forgetting to make your order. At least you get compensated for your wait with a free drink or appetizer though :( Edit Remove More

I scheduled my Elantra in for service at a convenient time, then got delayed and arrived late. The Service Department, knowing I had an important subsequent appointment, was able to accomodate me and got time, then got delayed and arrived late. I am so happy with buying my first car on my own. Russell was such a great help from start to finish. He walked me through EVERYTHING and made me feel comfortable with my purchase. I was originally looking for a used car in my price range. I was shocked when my price range actually worked for a NEW 2013. I will still very nervous but Russell was right there for me and explained how everything worked. The next day after I purchased I noticed the Air Bag cap was missing. I called Russell and he told me to come on in and he would help me. And BOY did he. They were busy in the shop but he worked with them to make sure I was in and out. All I needed was a cap. I was so blown away by all the extra efffort he did for me. I would recommend him and Hyundai in Schaumburg to everyone and anyone! JJ- He was so helpful when it came to actually signing for the car. He as well explained everything and made me feel comfortable. I am still in shock on how smooth everything went! Thank you again Russell for all your help!!!! More

I arrived on time for my appointment and was greeted promptly -- A young man came over and took my car and began checking it out even before the service advisor had finished checking me in -- I went and promptly -- A young man came over and took my car and began checking it out even before the service advisor had finished checking me in -- I went and sat down in the waiting area and, much more quickly than I'd expected, my car was checked-out, washed, had it's oil changed and waiting for me just outside the door -- The young lady at the cashier's desk was pleasant and friendly, made sure that I had my paperwork and promptly sent me off for the rest of my day -- In other words, I was very impressed at the professionalism and promptness overall -- If there was one thing that I would suggest, please find smaller, less obtrusive oil change reminder stickers -- The one I got was considerably bigger than I've ever had before and had an opaque white background rather than the ones with a transparent background that most places use -- To be honest, I couldn't see myself looking at that big, ugly thing for the next several months and removed it before even leaving the lot -- Just sayin' PS -- I'm very happy with my dealership so far, but the dealerrater.com page keeps erasing information that I've already completed at least once and asking me to re-enter it which is pretty annoying -- I've had to select the brand of car that I have three times now -- If it happens again, I'm going to quit the review as I've got other things to do today More

I asked them several times during the process if the money I was paying at signing was only taxes and fees, and Jason said yes, When I went home and went over the numbers, it turned out that there was a downpayment of over $600. I brought it to their attention and they refused to refund it. When I returned I spoke to Jason, who had done the paperwork, Jeffy, the finance manager, and Ricky Perez, the General Manager, who threatened to repossess the car and keep all the money I paid at signing. Great service. The dealer and Gus were exceptional to deal with. I will definitely deal with them in the future. The only complaint that I would have does not have to do with the dealer, but rather with the car itself. I had two speakers that had gone bad; the dealer replaced them under warranty. This is supposed to be premium sound system, and here it is one week later and I have another speaker that has gone bad. I will need to bring the car back in to have it replaced. I know that Hyundai will replace the speaker under warranty but I have to wonder why a premium sound system has so many problems with speakers. I have to say that I do not play the sound system very loudly except when the roof is open and all the windows are down and I'm driving on the highway. During the buying process a salesman while demonstrating the sound system played it at a very high sound level to demonstrate the quality of the system. The level that was demonstrated was much higher than any level I have played it. I am very worried about speakers going bad after the warranty expires. More
