Found this car on auto trader. Had been looking for a Kia Carnival for several weeks when we found this one, Called Patriot and was told the car was in perfect condition. When we Had been looking for a Kia Carnival for several weeks when we found this one, Called Patriot and was told the car was in perfect condition. When we arrived at the dealer the first thing noticed was hail damaged. Everything else seemed to look good. The manager said they would fix the hail damage, and would deliver to us in about a week, (this was 12/18/25). We were rushed into a loan agreement, even though we told them we could pay cash, and would pay full amount when the car was delivered. The finance dept. said it would be better to go ahead with financing and also stated we could purchase a warranty for $650.00 a year so we did. Looking over the contract, we noticed that they had charged us $3900.00 for the warranty (6 years). Calling back immediately and told them we did not want it after all, they said they would send us a new contract. They did not, instead they went ahead and turned in the application to PNC bank. They delivered the car and had us sign the acceptance form. The delivery guy unloaded it and left the car running in our driveway. We shut it off and we started looking over all the new electronics. MY MISTAKE...I trusted them. The car would not restart. We jumped it and it started. I put a battery check on it only to find the battery was bad ($264 at Walmart). Then noticed both fob batteries were also dead (would not even unlock the doors). I had checked the tires on the drivers side at the lot. Another mistake, I failed to check the passenger side. Ended up with 3 Kelley tires with good tread and 1 continental tire with no tread (bought a new set of 4 ($1008.00 at Walmart). Detail job looked good in the dark, however took us 4 hours to dig out all the candy in the seat rails, the coffee lattes between the seats and air vents (have pics). I called and left messages for 2 weeks before was finally told, "well, you bought it "As Is". We finally received our warranty refund on 2/4/26. Thanks for teaching a couple of senior citizens a lesson we will remember. More

I was sold a car that honestly could have caught fire driving home ,really the only thing that most likely saved me was the bad starter that burned the wiring causing a dead short ultimately burning the driving home ,really the only thing that most likely saved me was the bad starter that burned the wiring causing a dead short ultimately burning the diodes out in the alternator causing the car to die allowing me to notice the fuel leak.
