Frank and the rest of the Paul Miller team made buying a used car painless... from test driving, to pricing, to financing, to allowing my mechanic to "look under the hood". When it was apparent that I had no intention of purchasing at that moment, I didn't feel pressured to "buy the car today" and I was not hassled by phone calls later. I continued to check other lots for inventory. I found possibilities, but the vehicles were nowhere as cleaned up as those at Paul Miller and the salesmen were by and large the stereotypical used car variety. He was very helpful in answering any questions I had along with providing any details that the buyer would like to know on the car. For those of you in the market for a new vehicle, I’d like to take a moment of your time to recount my recent experience in purchasing a 2013 Honda Odyssey Touring at Paul Miller Honda, and in particular like to take a moment of your time to recount my recent experience in purchasing a 2013 Honda Odyssey Touring at Paul Miller Honda, and in particular, the exceptional, “above and beyond” service of Mr. Creiss Whitfield. Creiss distinguished himself from the competition at outset, well before I’d ever set foot inside Paul Miller Honda. I solicited price quotes for this vehicle from about half a dozen Honda Dealerships in the NY/NJ/CT area, and the quote Creiss had promptly sent me was clearly, significantly better than any other offer I received. I responded to Creiss, and he patiently explained the particulars of the offer. His explanation put me at ease, and I was thus able to make the 70 minute trip to West Caldwell with the confidence that we could work out a deal. Upon arriving at Paul Miller Honda, my first impression in meeting Creiss was a strong one, as he diligently worked to create a relaxed, welcoming, no-pressure atmosphere. I sensed Creiss to be what we in the military call a “good dude”—a colleague who is unflappably honest, hardworking, yet approaches every task with a healthy measure of good cheer. Creiss complements this warm demeanor, however, with an acute attention to detail and a thorough knowledge and understanding of the vehicles (and their myriad of features) that Paul Miller offers. Stated more simply, Creiss knows his stuff. This knowledge manifested itself throughout the test drive process, when Creiss expertly apprised me of the incredible capabilities and features of the 2013 Odyssey. While I was impressed with Creiss’s technical knowledge, I think I was most appreciative of his guidance in navigating the (unfortunately, but necessarily) bureaucratic, paperwork intensive aspects of car buying: taxes, titles, registration, and insurance. I give Creiss great credit for making this as painless as possible. I have one final anecdote to pass along. When I returned two days later with my wife and two young boys to sign for and pick up our new Odyssey, Creiss reprised the same warm welcome for them that he offered me earlier in the week. While he had already shown me the Odyssey’s features during the test drive, he took an extra 30 minutes of his time to review the same things for the benefit of my wife. The evening was cold. Rain was drizzling, and my kids were, well, energetic to say the least. He stood out in the cold talking through the vehicle, while we were comfortably inside, enjoying the Odyssey’s heated seats. I certainly didn’t expect Creiss to do this. It did, however, highlight Creiss’s consummate professionalism, as well as his unparalleled, “above and beyond” commitment to customer satisfaction. In sum, considering the fantastic vehicle, service, and price I received during this car-buying experience, I would, with great pleasure and enthusiasm, recommend Creiss Whitfield and Paul Miller Honda to my family and friends, having no reservations about buying my own next Honda there as well. I recently purchased a certified 2010 Accord EX-L v6 coupe from Paul Miller Honda of West Caldwell. Shortly after we were on the road for a test drive on a little course Lou made up so I could get a feel for how the car handled curves and acceleration on hills. Lou answered all of my questions on the car in detail and worked with me on pricing. His patience and no pressure sales approach made my decision hassle and stress-free. He even went as far as making sure I knew how to use all of the cool goodies in the interior before I drove it off the lot. Lou was very professional, knowledgable and made my buying experience pleasant. I would also like to thank Rick Kara (Finance Manager) for working hard and efficiently to get me a good rate. He took his time with explaining what my options were and that I understood them as this was my first time financing a vehicle. I left completely satisfied and confident with my purchase.
