Purchased a 2020 Ford Explorer XLT, supposedly a certified pre own. While trying to drive it off the lot, service noticed the lane assist was not working. My salesperson Dave M assured me that this certified pre own. While trying to drive it off the lot, service noticed the lane assist was not working. My salesperson Dave M assured me that this would be rectified immediately and to take the car home, make the appt to bring it back and I would be provided with a loaner. That should have been my sign to not complete the purchase and leave the dealership! Drove the car home and noticed the auto stop is also not working. Called Dave, made the appt to drop of the car and receive a loaner. When dropping off the vehicle, Dave M stated there is no loaner available and I would have to some back. After speaking to several managers, they “found” a loaner. Had the loner thru the weekend, the wipers and reverse camera were not working. Reached out to Dave M (finance manager, not sales) did not receive response. Called service. They didn’t know what to do. A few days later got my car back. A week later, the driver side lock stopped working. This time I decided to use a local Ford dealership for service. Brought the car in and they advised me there are six recalls on this vehicle. If this was a certified pre owned vehicle, why are there so many issues with it? I haven’t even made my second payment on the car and it has been in the shop twice and has to go back for the recalls. I would never ever recommend doing business with performance Ford. More
