Bobby had called to apologize for how Colin handled our situation and wanted to extend an invitation to allow them to try again. Usually I wouldn't give them the time of day at this point but something told me that I should see what happens. I had Bobby give me the numbers I originally requested, he promptly got back with me and had numbers that were reasonable. Reasonable enough that it was worthy of driving an hour to Bountiful to check them out. I'll admit that the whole way there, I was praying this wouldn't turn into some bait and switch scheme, just to sucker us into the dealership. When we arrived, Bobby had the vehicle we were inquiring about ready to go. I feel bad, but we had a last minute change of plan an opted for a different color than what we had originally planned. But in this case, "happy wife, happy life" and wife liked the black one. Bobby handled the change gracefully and worked diligently to get everything transferred over to the new vehicle selection, and even though this Pilot was slightly more, he worked on the price very fairly. I will say that Bobby is not your stereotypical car salesman. He was a genuine guy and straight up honest. We caught a slight error with numbers on the paperwork which he promptly corrected and I could tell that he was embarrassed about the issue. This dealership treats you to popcorn and a full soda fountain while you wait. Our kids (girls - ages 8 and 4) never complained while we were there - which was well past bedtime when we left. Bottom line, we walked away with a smile on our faces and a nice new Pilot - all because of Bobby. This isn't your average dealership, I have worked with many and this is the only one that genuinely wants you to be happy when you leave. My wife and I are looking for a second vehicle and decided on a 2017 Honda Pilot. We went to a competing dealership near our home however they did not have the color combo for the trim we wanted. They gave us a price on the same trim but different color combo, just in case we would reconsider. I managed to find what we want at Performance Honda. I reach out to Colin Gamble who I had received an automated email from after completing one of those online forms on new car pricing websites. At the same time, I found that the prior competing dealership has now posted a drastically discounted Pilot (same trim) on their website. I speak with Colin via telephone and inquire about price matching. He tells me that he would match the price plus $200.00. He said that he would email me some pricing as soon as he returned to the dealership (which was suppose to be in about an hour). I text him my email address and screenshots of the drastically discounted Pilot. This was on a Saturday early evening. Come the following Monday late afternoon I had yet to hear back from Colin as discussed. In the meantime, I had checked the competing dealerships website and the discounted Pilot was no longer listed. I assumed that there must have been a fluke. Irregardless, I was still interested in the Pilot that Performance Honda had because of the color combo. I reach out to Colin again and ask if he had emailed me as planned (these emails tend to end up in my Spam folder). He explains that he had checked the competing dealers site and assumed it was a mistake and they could not match the price. But the pricing he had previously sent me was still lower than what the competing dealer listed. Technically this could be true, however, as I mentioned previously, the competing dealer had given me a price on a different color combo (same trim and same MSRP) that was lower than their online price and Performance's website doesn't list a price so it is hard to compare at this point. I inform Colin that I had yet to receive any pricing from him and he responds with "Oh??? Oh geez ya i'll get that for you". I also inform him of the competing dealerships quoted price. Here we are several hours later and still no response from Colin. I am deeply disappointed in how I was treated by Colin and this dealership. My advice would be, to search at other dealers. My experience has been less than positive thus far. More

I didn't know I could get such a cool car. One of my first car buying experiences. The atmosphere of the store was great. Bobby was her knowledgeable with what he was selling and was able to answer any questions I had about the particular kind of car I wanted and how paying for one would go. I appreciate someone who is honest with what you can qualify and afford. He let me know what to expect, and I drove out with a preowned 2013 Honda Civic SI. Thanks for your help, Bobby.
