I went to Kia not knowing what I wanted. However, I did know what I wanted to put down and what my monthly payment would be. He gave me info and welcomed me to visit the lot informally. I am a no nonsense shopper. I went looking, prepared with my available cash, trade-in worth, and interest amounts. I was lured in by the Telluride and enticed by 0% APR. My sales guy was honest and upfront. He let me know the answers to the questions I asked without any selling tactics. While he let me check out the Telluride and Seltos, he listened to my wants, rules and limits. He then directed me to the Sportage. Although he had excellent knowledge of all 3 vehicles, he seemed to know that the Sportage was my fit. He never "sold" me on anything, or pandered to me, but gave me information so that I could make a choice and decision. The financing was just as good. When he realized I had come prepared, he asked what I wanted and met the goal, with multiple different efforts. There was no tit for tat or hidden catches. I opted to pick up on a Saturday (even though they would have given it to me on the spot). I was mildly disappointed when I arrived and my car had been used for test drives. I also had called midweek to inquire about adding remote start. The polite person on the phone promised me a callback, but never actually got me one. When I did return on a busy sales day, almost every salesperson greeted me and even remembered my sales-guy and what I had bought. Impressive friendly people, all of whom offered to help me get going. The people working behind the scenes are all very cordial and helpful. This dealership was the right choice. I had experienced bait and switch, and some Covid blamed ridiculous rules (put a $500 deposit before you can sit in a car, sight unseen) from my own local dealership. I also will not hesitate to drive 40 minutes away to have them service the vehicle. More
