Dear Sir, I am sorry for any inconvenience or misunderstanding. We asked for a refundable deposit over the phone because there was only one vehicle in inventory that was acceptable to you and your wife. I am sorry if we gave you the impression that this was mandatory. In point of fact the pricing we promised you never changed, however we did spend a few days trying to get a more favorable approval and therefore a lower monthly payment. When this was not possible your deposit was immediately credited to your credit card. Normally it should only take 48 hours for this to show up on your account. I did offer to help determine why there was a longer delay. I am sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused you. The terms of the approval and the time it takes for a deposit credit to show on you account unfortunately are both not directly in my control. I trust you have received your credit for your deposit at this point and time, but please contact me directly if I can be of any assistance in any way. Dear Rachel, I do apologize for the experience you had when you came to Peters Honda. There are times when a vehicle is sold between the time a customer calls and when they arrive at the dealership. This may have been the case with the vehicle you came to see. I am sorry it took as long as it did to determine the vehicle was not available. It should have taken just a few minutes. Oh and P.S.- It wasn't an issue of the being sold before we got there...I had spoken to the internet sales manager MINUTES before coming in. The story after 30 minutes of getting jerked around was that the car had a bad engine and wasn't available and why don't I buy a brand new one instead?? If a manager refuses to speak with a customer to at least acknowledge a bad experience when I was there, nor did I receive any type of response after emailing both the internet manager and the general manager of the dealership, I don't want to do business with a company like that. I went down the street to Sunnyside Acura and bought a $33,000 car with no hassle, B.S. or lies.
