Good experience to my surprise I have been buying new and used cars for many years and have played all of the dealership games. This time out with Peterson's was different,no ga I have been buying new and used cars for many years and have played all of the dealership games. This time out with Peterson's was different,no games no pressure and decent employees, namely Darin Bunger my sales person. I got a really nice used Prius at a very good price and a fair price for my trade in.Paperwork was fast and easy and my used vehicle was ready to good shortly after the paperwork had been completed. I know Perterson's is a business there to make money but could have done without the gentleman trying to sell me All-State insurance.other then that I cannot think of anything negative to say about Peterson's and If all customers are treated the way that I was I would recommend them as a car dealer to do business with. My second vehicle from Petersons, and I would go there again Although towards closing, I felt rushed, and that things were moving too fast for me to follow sometimes I am comfortable with the way my purchase wen Although towards closing, I felt rushed, and that things were moving too fast for me to follow sometimes I am comfortable with the way my purchase went. It was almost blown out of the water by a larger than life sales guy who came into the discussion like a Chieftain tank, loud and very pushy and in spite of my verbal and body language showing him that we needed to get out to collect my 9 YO daughter from YMCA, and showing no regard for my urgency, started to ramble on about his visit to Manchester (UK), I did not like that at all, my wife stormed out in disgust! Upon our next visit (the third one) Adam Beumeler regained control and and we were able to close the deal. I think that what all car sales people and finance people need to understand is that although car selling is very familiar ground to them which they tread probably several times a day; to us, who make probably the second most high value acquisition ever and buy only 3-5 cars in a life time, spending what is to us a "LOT" of money, it is unfamiliar ground. So patience and patience is what is needed. Don't try to rush things in order to get the deal closed. There is also to of ground to cover in the process, papers to be signed, documents to be read, and understood, I/we find it quite overwhelming. Having said that, I do commend Adam and Casey Cook, who both demonstrated real patience, product knowledge and respect for us and our time, while handing the sales side of the process. Ben (finance) also did pretty well, he was sympathetic to my naivety and explained things well, thanks Ben. All in all, I am very comfortable dealing with Peterson's, it's a first rate facility with very good staff. Finally, I don't like unpleasant surprises! It would have been nice if I had been advised by the sales team or finance that on registering a Hybrid vehicle with DMV the fee is almost $80.00 MORE!! this is due to "someone" missing out on the tax earned from fuel sales according to the DMV office. To have been forewarned about this would NOT have jeopardized the sale! My mind was set on a Hybrid anyway, since the long term savings on fuel are more than the $80.00 higher fee. More
I recommend the dealership as well as a specific sales perso Salesman Troy Woodward is a trove of knowledge about cars and a good read of people. Combine these two talents, and you get a well-served customer. I Salesman Troy Woodward is a trove of knowledge about cars and a good read of people. poor service I had unpleasant two experiences with Peterson Toyota Scion / Boise, ID. first one when I trade my 2014 Camry with a new 2015 Camry approx. two m I had unpleasant two experiences with Peterson Toyota Scion / Boise, ID. first one when I trade my 2014 Camry with a new 2015 Camry approx. two months ago, they do all the paper work & told me that I am approved for the car loan through Toyota finance and make the trade with 2000 $ cash payment but that was not true, I was not approved, two days after they offer me a lease contract instead of the trade purchase and I refuse it because I came to buy not lease, although they hit down my Credit score by applying to several car loan lenders in the same time, I didn't give them my consent to do that, the financial employ told me he will do it only through Toyota finance and he lied to me, the 2nd one two weeks ago when i came to buy an extended service warranty for 75000 miles or 6 years, after I discovered it was not a good deal for me since I decide not to keep the car more than 2-3 years, I cancelled the warranty they didn’t refund me all my money back and they charge me a processing or a surcharge (that what they call it) of $ 57.00, I talked with the sells agent (Jay Davis) & his manger asking them to refund me the full amount since I cancel the service but they refused to do so, I go three times to resolve the issue but they didn't help me out, the manager offer me a discount equal to the surcharge amount if I buy a new service warranty, which I defiantly won't do that after that, I write an E-mail to their General manager, but he didn’t respond, these people don’t care for the clients, so I ended up losing time , money & credit score with Peterson Toyota Boise, I am certainly never going to deal with them in the future and not recommend them to a friend.
