After our experience last Saturday trying to purchase this Edge at Phil Long Ford, I was contacted on Monday by e-mail and phone by Eric Roberg the Internet Manager for Phil Long Ford. He apologized for how the negotiation process was handled when we were there. He stated that there was a mis-communication during the negotiations when the salesman (who is no longer employed there)did not communicate our concerns regarding the trade pay-off amount to the sales manager. His understanding of our situation and disappointment of not being able to go home with the car we wanted was very appreciated. My husband spoke with Eric on Tuesday, Eric listened to my husband's offer, and they settled on a fair price for the auto. He told my husband that he would have the car cleaned and gassed for us to pick up that evening. No putting the problem on us the customer. Eric was a pleasure to work with by making us feel like getting us our car mattered to him and the dealership. At the dealership that evening we were greeted by salesman Walter Banks who took us to his office to work on the initial part of the purchase. Walter was personable and attentive to our needs. We also worked with James in finance who worked with us to get good financing. We felt much more welcome and that we mattered this second time around. Before we left the lot with our new car both Eric and Walter spend time, even tho it was close to closing, to sync our phones and go over all the special electronics that the car has. We do appreciate all the personal service we received the second time and would recommend this dealer.
