This was absolutely the best car buying experience we This was absolutely the best car buying experience we have every had. We specifically asked for Betty Chen, as she was recommended to us by Eric This was absolutely the best car buying experience we have every had. We specifically asked for Betty Chen, as she was recommended to us by Eric Wilson of Phil Long Ford. (We have visited with him about a Ford pickup, which we will still need at some point. However, we decided we first wanted to update our primary vehicle.) We did some research on-line and questioned a couple of Hyundai owners, and thought we would go that route. Since Eric had been so helpful, knowledgeable, and came across as being honest, we asked him who he would recommend we ask for at the Hyundai dealership. Without hesitation he said Betty Chen, saying that although he had not personally met her, he heard good things about her, that she was honest, not inclined to tell you something that was not right. Respecting Eric's opinion, that is exactly what we did, and we were extremely happy with the way she took care of us. She was not the least bit pushy. She seemed to zero in on what would meet our wants and needs. I think we took up a lot of her time, but she didn't show the least bit of bother over it. I realize that's her job, but still she made us feel she had all the time in the world to spend with us, taking the time to listen to COUNTLESS goofy stories we told, and also taking in very good stride all the teasing my husband likes to do. (I did tell her at one point that the more he teased someone, the more it meant he likes that person - ha!) Betty is just a natural people person, with a great sense of humor, able to give it right back to Jerry. She made us feel like we really had made a new friend, and I do believe she genuinely feels she HAS made a new friend when she sells a vehicle to some one. Of course WE feel like WE are her favorite customer, but in reality I'm sure she makes EVERYONE feel like that. :-) As an aside, as soon as we got back into Canon City, we drove straight to our daughter and son-in-law's house to "show them". Of course it was quite a surprise when they came out and saw we had bought a white Sonata, given the fact that in their garage is their own white Sonata... Their's is a 2012 (not hybrid), and they were pretty put out when they heard about everything our Sonata had that their's does not, our lifetime oil changes, AND the fact that on the way home our average fuel economy was as high as 58.4! They had bought their Sonata in Pueblo and after hearing how well we were treated at Phil Long Hyundai by Betty (as well as everyone else there), including Betty unselfishly taking a lot of time to explain/demonstrate all the fancy gadgets on our new car, Chris said, "Clearly, we went to the wrong dealership!" I told him it was not too late to correct that - ha! More

We felt no pressure about buying the car. Ben spend lots of time with us. He spent one whole afternoon taking us out for a test drive; showing us the car's features; and doing paperwork. The next evening,he also personally delivered the car to our home and spent two hours of his own time going over all the technology features in the car. We hope that the Ben's supervisors will see all of these positive qualities and will reward him with many promotions in the future. Thanks Ben for a GREAT car buying experience. My experience at Hyundai at Chapel Hills was incredible! Kenn Patton and his team are amazing and have set the bar very high for other dealerships. I came in with very low expectations of getting a car due to my lack of credit history. Larry began the process by explaining what kind of programs he could offer me and how he was not only going to get me into a vehicle but also set me onto the right path of building good credit. His honesty and understanding of my situation immediately made me feel I was in the right place. The saleswoman, Koyela, was sweet, kind, and full of so much sincerity, that I instantly liked her during our test drive. I have never met such a tiny woman with such a big heart! As much as I loved the Accent, my troubled credit was making it difficult for me to obtain such a reliable vehicle. Richi took it from here. I'm not sure how he talked the bank into helping me out or how he managed to add on all the warranties for me, but he is definitely someone I would always have go to bat for me. During this process, I had the pleasure of meeting the owner, who after learning of my situation, seemed to take a personal interest and kept the ball rolling in the right direction. I have heard countless horror stories of dealerships. Everyone impressed upon me the importance of being a ruthless negotiator and to stay rigid and cold while purchasing my first car. Unfortunately, I do not have that type of personality and can only be who I am. At Phil Long Hyundai of Chapel Hills, the people there treat you with respect, dignity, and truly care about their fellow humans. I am incredibly lucky to have met such wonderful people and to have the undeniably awesome experience. Kenn is doing something right and definitely knows how to build his team of great people. I shall recommend this place to everyone I know and will be a forever loyal customer of this one-of-a-kind dealership. More
This dealership was absolutely the best dealership I've ever worked with in my life. They provided the absolute best customer service experience I could even imagine. There's no high pressure sales talks at all, and they were 100% knowledgeable with anything I asked about as well as getting me the answers quickly and professionally. The particular situation that I was in required them to work with me on financing as well as give me quite a bit of leeway with the date of my down payment, which was no issue at all for them and I honestly can say that this is the first time I've bought a car feeling like "a million dollars" when I left. James Fowler is easily the best salesman I've worked with, he is very laid-back, lets you have your space while still being available for Q&A. He absolutely lets YOU decide what YOU want and doesn't push you into anything that you don't want. He is very personable as well, the kind of person that you can shoot the breeze with as easily as buy a far from. Richi Carni and Rod Anderson on the finance team carried on the wonderful feeling that I had while talking with James, absolutely no high pressure talks at all, and they simply showed me what all my options were and then did their absolute best to make me feel comfortable with what I was buying. They succeeded completely, and as I said earlier I left the dealership in my new car feeling wonderful. When I walked in to the finance office, I told them exactly what I could afford and they crunched the numbers until I had exactly what I wanted. I cant say that there was a single thing that I would change about this dealership, they know how to take care of their customers, and I can say that when I'm in the market to replace my second car, Phil Long Hyundai of Chapel Hills will be stop number 1 on my list. I had a really excellent car buying experience. I first went to a Nissan dealer close by and they were incredibly pushy and intense, a lousy experience. I don't like to buy immediately, and he was ok with that and suggested I take the car home for the night to think things over and see if I really enjoyed it, no charge. I really like that professional, no push type attitude. Then I came back the next day and bought the Sante Fe, which I am thoroughly enjoying. The ride is so smooth, and I am getting 28 mph on the highway, and 25 in the city, exceeding the specs! James is very knowledgeable yet not pushy, and he turns the car buying journey into an adventure instead of a grind. Both James and Richi Carni, the Sales Director, provided a fun and enjoyable process in buying a new car. Richi got great deal after great deal by leveraging his buying power on items such as my rate, length of services, and types of services. Great experience, good job guys, I recommend this to anyone who doesn't enjoy the intimidating and strong arm tactics of some dealers. More
