On 12/22, I placed a $500 depos money I had an extremely unprofessional experience with Plaza Kia in Brooklyn, involving salesperson Rohan Scott. On 12/22, I placed a $500 deposit on a certified pre-owned Kia after confirming availability. Despite taking the deposit, the dealership sold the car anyway. As of 1/2, the deposit has still not been returned. We have called twice to request the refund. Each time, staff said they were “taking our information” and that someone would follow up. No one ever has. There has been no proactive communication, no explanation, and no urgency to resolve an issue they created. Taking a deposit implies a vehicle is being held. Selling it out from under a customer — and then keeping the money while failing to respond — shows a complete lack of professionalism and basic customer care. I would strongly caution anyone considering doing business with Plaza Kia. More

I leased a car in April, and they promised to return my previous lease to Nissan. Fast forward three months, and I receive a past-due notice from Nissan! Turns out, Kia hadn’t returned the car, leaving me with unexpected payments and a ruined credit score. I spent DAYS trying to locate my car, only to get the runaround. When they finally found it, it took them TWO WEEKS to return it to Nissan! Kia promised to reimburse my payments to Nissan but never followed through. Every time I tried to speak to a manager, they were mysteriously “unavailable.” Ultimately, I learned the owner refuses to sign the check owed to me! His response? “Take me to court.” This place is unprofessional and shows a complete lack of accountability. Salespeople are eager to take your money, but when things go wrong, they vanish.
