I didn’t have much time to run around from dealership to dealership talking and negotiating so I decided to reach out to a few dealerships on the internet. I was extremely disappointed in the lack of response I got from every OTHER dealership, UNTIL I had the PLEASURE of coming across the staff at Pohanka Acura. Joseph Nwakanze was EXTREMELY prompt and professional. He immediately gained my trust with his delightful manner and professionalism. I gave him my needs and requested that he worked with me to get to payment that I wanted to be at. He did this without playing games or making me feel uneasy. I sent him a text message the next day and asked him if I could make an appointment to meet with him and test drive the car. He immediately replied and said that he was not in town but would have his colleague, Philip “Flip”, assist me. Philip sent me a text message shortly after and assured me that he would have the car waiting for me to drive. When I arrived to the dealership Philip greeted me with a big smile and a great attitude. He was a pleasure to work with. He went over the vehicle in great detail and impressed me with his extensive product knowledge. I told Philip that I would not be purchasing the car today because I was still working with VW to have them buy back my diesel vehicle. He didn’t pressure me at all and was very understanding. Before I left I had the opportunity to chat with the New Car Manager, Tony Ramazani. He was wonderful and also a pleasure to speak with. He was knowledgeable on the VW matter and expressed his interest in assisting me in any way possible. This group of guys totally blew me away with their professionalism. It was totally unlike anything I had dealt with at other dealerships in the past. I returned a few days later and was able to meet Joseph in person. He completed the transaction and also assisted me in dropping off my old VW to the VW dealership a few weeks later. Joseph was very kind to text me every few days to remind me of the date and time he would meet me at VW. Totally unexpected. It made me feel like he really did care about his customers. Tony offered to let me store my VW at their dealership so I didn’t have to take up space at my home. It was a very kind offer and very much appreciated. This dealership knows what customer service is. I didn’t purchase the most expensive Acura, but they made me feel like I was. I will ALWAYS go back to Pohanka and Joseph for all my car purchases. I have already told everyone about the quality of people there and the first class experience they provide. They can count on me sending them anyone in the market for a new or used car. I cannot say enough good things about this group and the exceptional experience I had there.
