I had an excellent experience with Portland Volvo, and especially the Service Manager, Bryan Woodworth! He was patient, helpful, explaining everything that was necessary to the appointment. Brought my 2024 xc40 in for the third time for navigation issues (google). This time they did a software update and hoped this would fix it. But, it did not! I've done more research online and found one t issues (google). This time they did a software update and hoped this would fix it. But, it did not! I've done more research online and found one that states: When doing a cold start, its by design for the car to not activate the navigation system for the first 10 minutes or so. This is so the battery energy can be used for high priority systems such as warming up the engine. Whereas the navigation system (google) is low priority, it will not start until the important systems are satisfied. Therefore it should be considered normal for navigation to delay upon a cold start. It went on to say that Volvo someday may make a fix so that this does not happen. I think that Portland Volvo did what it could do and for that I am appreciative! Anxious to see what the future brings. More
October 2023. Annual service and check up. Was told that my S60 at 35k miles needed over 3000$ to pass inspection. Go home to my local garage and spent 27$. Yes 27 Annual service and check up. The techs @ Portland Volvo are rewarded for drumming up fictional repairs. Never again for sales or service. Beware! Don't walk away. Run away now! More
I went in and purchased a new Volvo XC90 in less than 3 hours, paid cash and drove it home that day. I'd say I was an easy customer! Shortly after I experienced computer issues. (Great service!). The problem returned with additional computer issues. ( Actually going back for the 4th time next week) I decided to call Portland Volvo, I called the service department 2 days in a row, no answer! I decided to call the salesman, I just wanted to know if this was a common problem with this particular model. I left 2 messages for the salesman, no response. I called the Sales Manager, had a great conversation with him. He actually told me to bring the car for service at Lovering Volvo because they have great reputation and are closer to me. He assured me he would check with his service staff and get back to me. That didn't happen! I called and left him voice mail and still no return call. Customer service at its worse! I am sorry there is not an option to give zero stars, but I had to choose 1 star. More
