Premier Kia of Carlsbad - Service Center

I damaged my car's driver side door in the rain and so I went to Kia of Carlsbad Collision Center. They ordered the door and parts, and told me it would take a month. A month later I called and they had went to Kia of Carlsbad Collision Center. They ordered the door and parts, and told me it would take a month. A month later I called and they had trouble finding my order. Days went by, day after day I called and finally someone found the order pertaining to the parts. They told me it would take another month. I called the following month and more run around. Four months later my parts arrived. I was told it might take 1 week to repair but they had to take apart to make sure no more damages. I arranged a rental car for a week, but I didn't have rental car coverage. 1-2 days later, they called and told me additional parts were needed. The hinges for the door they ordered. The hinges.... overall, $1400 more in parts that would take... 3-4 weeks to arrive. After informing Henry that I could not afford a rental car for 3-4 weeks and that I wanted my car back now, he informed me I would have to pay $300 for them taking it apart and looking at it. I also paid $300 in rental car fees. $600.00 for a simple visit. I also told them I had spent the insurance money... cause it had been 4 months'ish and Henry informed me I could apply for a Sunbit Credit Card to pay for it. I did just that, that very day I picked up my car to pay for the $300 look-at-my-car-visit. Did I mention I live out of my car and Henry and his crew all knew this since day one, hence how important this car is to me. So 3-4 weeks pass and I call up Henry at KIA of Carlsbad, Collision Center. One of his guys tells me there is no order. That nothing has been ordered and nothing was there. I request Henry call me. Henry calls me and proceeds to tell me that I told him not to order the parts... and I tell him, "Why did my insurance company receive a request from YOU for the new funds for the hinges, which USAA ok'ed and sent the collision center? Henry informed me that they did indeed receive those funds but no order had been placed. Henry raised his voice at me, so I raised my voice at him. We literally argued for about 5-10 minutes as I attempted to refresh his memory of what happened and how they told me I'd be able to pay with a Sunbit Credit Card, which I had applied for that day and been approved. Yet, Henry tells me he didn't place the order because I said I didn't have the insurance money and that I needed to "get it before the work could be done." I reminded him of the Sunbit Credit Card that I was approved for, that he recommended and he denied that interaction. I informed him I would be calling Corporate unless he could provide a solution for me. Henry argued more, which caused me to argue more. I asked Henry, "Look, either you propose a solution to this problem or I will call corporate. Do you want me to call corporate, Henry?" Henry said, "Go ahead." End results: almost 6 months wasted, over $600 wasted and still vehicle is still damaged. They still have my doors, but no hinges. Who the xxxx orders doors but no hinges? Trying to milk my insurance company??? So I'm on hold now with corporate and posting a Yelp review in the meantime. The communication at the KIA of Carlsbad Collision Center is HORRIBLE. They don't call you back, they don't remember how things went down, they provide ZERO help when mistakes are made on their part and the management is argumentative and confrontational. Overall, WORST SERVICE AWARD for 2022 goes to Henry of KIA of Carlsbad Collision Center. More

I was referred to Frank without hesitation, by a friend Hands down the absolute BEST body shop in SoCal, is here at Weseloh Kia Collision Center!!! I was referred to Frank without hesitation, by a friend that works in the car detailing business for my incorrectly paint matched full front end of my 2016 VW Golf R in Tornado Red. For weeks I was torn about using the shops that originally painted my carbon fiber hood, front bumper cover and front spoiler/splitter parts which came out orange. So fortunate to have met Frank and his team of painters/detailers, which honestly are likely the BEST in the country! I don't normally write reviews or give praise to that degree, so please take my word for what I'm writing here. Knew right away after meeting Frank for the first time, I was in good hands, he was able to point out the flaws in the paint color immediately and drafted up a more than reasonable quote for the task to respray the full front end. There was no doubt in my mind hearing about their reputation for knocking out complex paint matching jobs, especially in the color red (red/white one of the most difficult colors to correctly match). Their painter George, is an absolute master at this craft, meticulously performed over 6 different spray out's based off almost 9 variances of red paint to choose from which is impossible to nail the correct one if you don't have the experience and intuition. Correctly identified the right red color, and simply nailed it, not a sign off mismatching and quality of work was 10/10 no bubbles, contaminants or signs of any imperfections. After assembling everything back onto the vehicle, they hit a snag with the hood functionality, never crossed theirs minds to refer me to Volkswagen to get it sorted out. They took ownership of the issue, and executed a quick solution to the problem bringing back full functionality of the cars hood again. That level of devotion and loyalty to the customer, it's not something I'll likely encounter at any body shop, and that is why I'm NEVER going to any other body shop for these reasons and my experience there solidified it. I don't think these words, can express how grateful I am to Frank and his team at Kia Weseloh Collision Center, but hopefully it reaches out to any potential customers out there looking for the best automotive paint work LOOK NO FURTHER!
