Attention to detail I somewhat recently wrote a negatively critical review on this forum following an unpleasant used car buying experience at Premier Subaru. Apparently I somewhat recently wrote a negatively critical review on this forum following an unpleasant used car buying experience at Premier Subaru. Apparently these reviews are noticed and considered by at least one dealer. Tom Backes the used car manager was quick to respond and was sincere in his effort to make amends. After we discussed the car I had first gone to look at having been offered for sale when it was not up to par he said that the people in the departments concerned would be spoken to and that appropriate changes would be made and followed up on to ensure there would not be a repeat. In regards to the lack of attention to detail in the cleaning of the car I ultimately purchased after I turned down the first one, Tom offered a thorough detailing job on the car at no expense to me. The car now looks better than you would expect a five year old car to look. I appreciated Tom's effort to clear things up and I will give him the benefit of the doubt that my experience was an outlier and not close to being the rule. As he stated to me it apparently is "not the way they operate" at Premier or they would not do the large volume they have been doing in sales and service. My recommendation comes with a qualifier which is to say that Premier may be a good dealership to purchase a new car and I have no reason to tarnish their reputation in that regard. More
