Dear Valued Customer, As we mentioned to you previously, because you had performed your own work to your vehicle including installing your own intake, we are not able to perform work on your vehicle under Volkswagen's Warranty policy. From speaking with Volkswagen, although the parts were removed and put back to factory stock, they are still refusing any warranty repair. We've had lengthy conversations with them trying to get them to help, but they are standing by their warranty policy and unfortunately there is nothing we can do. We take customer service very seriously, and we would never turn away a customer for any service work. However, in terms of warranty coverage, VW will not cover the repair. At this point, we will be more than happy to fix the issues, but please understand there will be an expense to you as this isn't covered by warranty. We are upfront and truthful with all of our customers, and we expect that in return. When we had asked you twice if you had performed any modifications to your car, you had told us that you had only lowered it. As you know, the following day after we reset your check engine light (at no cost to you), we have pictures of your vehicles showing the aftermarket intake that you had installed and removed prior to bringing it again. Given the information, we are required by our Dealer agreement with VW to follow all warranty procedures. Unfortunately, with the information we have on your vehicle, we cannot process any warranty repairs. Again, we are willing to fix the vehicle; however, it will be an out of pocket expense to you. We are not willing to jeopardize our relationship with VW or our franchise to bend the rules in your favor. Dear General Manager, I have spoken with Volkswagen of America and they have stated that there is no way your dealership can void my warranty even with your "proof" of an instagram picture of a vehicle with an intake. Your service department has yet to diagnose the reason the service engine light is on let alone to blame it on an intake, and according to VWOA you can only void a warranty if proven the modification is the reason for the problem which unfortunately you are unable to do so because again they have yet to diagnose the problem. But, I can tell you what they did do while servicing they spent 2 hours not fixing the vehicle but trying to find a reason why they do not have to fix the vehicle, and your service manager jayson morris told your customer to physically leave the building that we are not welcome there anymore whether paying out of pocket or not , so either you are misinformed or your staff is lying to you because they know they are in wrong. Everyone is allowed their personal opinion of customers unfortunately they are not paid for it and it should not affect the customer service that everyone deserves, if he simply is not good with the public that is understandable then maybe he should find a new line of work, but unfortunately again, his dislike for jake does not just affect jake it effects my whole family which I will not put my child at risk. Though we appreciate the fact that we are still allowed to purchase vehicles at your business just not have them serviced there, which we are in the process of purchasing another Volkswagen even with all these troubles sadly not from you dealership as planned. I hope the poor ethics of your staff only lies with one person not with the whole staff word of mouth is the best way to get new customers and right now you have many unhappy loyal customers. I believe someone needs to swallow their pride and do their job of representing and standing behind Volkswagen not their personal vendettas. I thank you for your time

Dear Rick, I would like to update you on a wonderful experience I had at Dave Walter VW. This is what they did for me as a customer when I didn't even purchase my vehicle through their dealership. They scheduled me in a timely manner they diagnosed my vehicles problem instead of clearing the service engine light as your technician dept. did and you called it service I could have that done at Auto Zone for free. After they diagnosed the problem which was a the DPF and EGR filter they cleaned and replaced the parts under WARRANTY because no modification caused this problem. What else they went out of their way to do was gave me a brand new rental car for the 4 days it was in the shop being fixed under WARRANTY along with being updated daily on the service. When I received my vehicle back it was spotless and without a service engine light 200 miles later. This is what is considered excellent customer service and an excellent service department all to gain one persons business, you should really take notes. A person should not have to pay out of pocket to get customer service. And thank you for lying about never refusing customers and also about Volkswagen not allowing you to warranty my vehicle. That says a lot about Preston as a whole. I am actually thankful you would not look at my vehicle it is now fixed and in running condition without the run around. and thank you for not being of any help, Bobby Preston should be proud of such a great employee.
