Pundmann Ford opened it's doors on April 25, 1925, in St. Charles on the corner of Jefferson and Second streets as one of the first automobile dealerships in the area. Pundmann endured the Great Depression, World War II and in 1951 moved to their second location at 1001 North Second Street.
In 1968 Pundmann Motor Co made its final move to 2727 West Clay to where it now sits today. Additionally, the dealership is still owned and operated by the Pundmann Family. Pundmann Motor Company's approach to business has always stayed the same, Pundmann People Care. It is because of this approach that our store has received national recognition for our excellence in customer service.

My husband and I are from Southern Illinois, and our positive experience with Pundmann Ford began with a simple phone call. Eric Oetjen in sales answered my call, and because he was so friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful, we decided to leave another dealership in South County and make the drive to xx. Charles instead. From the moment we walked into the clean, welcoming dealership, we knew we had made the right decision. Buying a vehicle can be stressful, but Eric and Michael, the outstanding finance manager, made the entire process smooth, straightforward, and stress-free. They were relaxed, professional, and never pressured us or tried to gimmick upsell. The only disappointment was the online pricing. The final price of the truck was $1,500 higher than the advertised online price because of pre-installed accessories that we didn't necessarily need. Those additional costs were not clearly disclosed in the online listing, and we didn't encounter this issue at any of the other dealerships we visited. While this didn't prevent us from purchasing the truck, we believe pricing should be more transparent so customers know exactly what to expect before making the trip. One of the biggest bonuses was the real lifetime powertrain warranty that came with our 2026 Ford F-150. Many dealerships advertise lifetime warranties that come with extensive limitations and fine print, but that wasn't the case at Pundmann Ford. It was refreshing to receive a warranty that truly provides long-term value and peace of mind. Thank you, Eric and Michael, for providing such a positive and stress-free vehicle-buying experience. Despite our concern about the online pricing, your professionalism and great customer service made all the difference.
