Unfortunately, when picking up my truck from having the new wheel well trim piece installed tailgate adjusted, and the tailgate trim replaced, I had an even worse greeting by management. Upon arrival, I inspected the repairs to my truck. The wheel well trim and tailgate trim installs looked good, but the tailgate had not been adjusted. I told the saleswoman to get someone from management. One of the floor managers came out and one of his first comments to me was that “they” (management) were wanting me to get in the truck, drive off, and never bring my business there again. He also told me that the review I had submitted made them look bad. I told him my review stated facts about my experience. Not only had I bought the truck a week ago, but my father in law bought a truck yesterday and my mother in law bought a Yukon only hours before I went to pick up my truck. The floor manager did bring my truck to the back and had the tailgate promptly adjusted. When he returned, I asked him again about his comment about “them” not wanting me to come back and he assured me that was their stance. He also added that was not his position on the matter and that is why he had my tailgate adjusted. I realize that I am a first time customer there, but I was hoping to forge a relationship with the local dealership because I am new to the area. As I told the floor managers, things happen like trim falling off the vehicle. But it took roughly six hours to close the deal because of the paperwork having to be completed twice for internal reasons and tailgate replacement because not enough care was taken to remove sticker residue. Then the reaction by management when the trim piece fell off really made me feel like they were not trying to accommodate me as a customer. I now have my truck and everything is repaired. I’m thankful for that. Hopefully it holds together really well and I will not need to return to that dealership for anything. More
I think I no was misled about the extended warranty. I thought it was covered from bumper to bumper. I learned elsewhere. The warranty didn’t cover the tire sensors.
