I would've been a first time Dodge owner if it weren't for this miserable hellhole. I had thought about owning a Challenger Scat Pack for years, so this month I decided 2021 would be the year I'd make it for this miserable hellhole. I had thought about owning a Challenger Scat Pack for years, so this month I decided 2021 would be the year I'd make it happen. I worked with a "salesman" called Taylor "Red." In all our face-to-face interactions, he seemed completely uninterested in doing business with me, probably because I look young and mentioned I had test driven cars from other brands. Anyways, to make a long story short, I went for a one-hour test drive to make sure this was definitely the car I wanted. When I got back from the test drive, the first thing Red asked is why I didn't answer my phone. I guess it didn't occur to him that I'd be focused on the test drive, not my phone. At this point he seemed downright irate. It was evident that he didn't take me seriously as a customer, but I figured he could at least answer a question I had about some powertrain settings in Uconnect. He asked me to show him what I was talking about, so we went out to the car. Red and I got into the car. This is where the experience nose-dived directly into the ground. I showed him the settings I had a question about, and I commented on braking performance and he became belligerent. He proceeded to repeatedly call me a reckless driver (my driving record is perfect) and berated me over the car's break-in period requirement, the details of which I was not informed of at all. It's ignorant and irresponsible to assume I know. I didn't do anything crazy with the car, nor did I drive far, but Red acted as though the car was totaled. Unbelievable. The experience was incredibly uncomfortable and humiliating. He treated me like a child. Unforgivable and unacceptable. Guy, I'm probably older than you. I have never in my entire life been treated so poorly. After Red's meltdown he had the unmitigated gall to say, in the most unenthusiastic and annoyed tone, let us know when you're interested to buy and stormed back inside. Are you serious? Rairdon, do you think this is acceptable? You seem to since other people have had similar problems with Red and other staff members. It's 2021. Enough of the sleazy, pushy, and rude used car salesmen tactics of the 80's. It's costing you and Dodge business. Stop. Think. I left immediately after. I felt horrible for the rest of the day. Red, you do not speak to a customer like this. Ever. Period. You are bad at your job. Your emotional outburst cost you my business, future customers, and now your and your employer's reputation are irreparably damaged. I'm definitely reconsidering Dodge now. I'm only interested in doing business with companies that respect me and want my business. More
Very helpful staff. No pressure sales. I’ve bought 5 vehicles from Rairdon over the years. This dealership is always my first stop when shopping for a new Jeep vehicles from Rairdon over the years. This dealership is always my first stop when shopping for a new Jeep More
Friendly persistent support in all stages of negotiation from sales to management to finance departments. Excellent staff willing to work with you. Came in to trade in one wrangler for another. Gave me a generous price on my trade-in. Can’t recommend these guys enough. trade in one wrangler for another. Gave me a generous price on my trade-in. Can’t recommend these guys enough. More
Avoid at all costs. We were lied to by our sales person and finance manager who they later fired. Felt held hostage and were assured repeatedly that we'd have bumper to bumper warranty with EVERYTHING cove and finance manager who they later fired. Felt held hostage and were assured repeatedly that we'd have bumper to bumper warranty with EVERYTHING covered and no costs out of pocket. They wouldn’t let us get the car checked out, sold it to us with a lot of broken parts that they PROMISED would be covered by our warranty (and we specifically asked if the broken trunk they sold us would be covered, only to find that our car isn't even eligible for the warranty they promised us because of the high mileage so it's impossible now to upgrade to the warranty we paid for). We also found that our air conditioning has dead rats in it. Although we're grateful to finally be in contact with seemingly the one person at Rairdon's who is willing to find solutions, the solutions aren't satisfactory considering the entire premise we were sold on buying the car has turned out to be false. After speaking to 10 different people and getting caught in the loop of being referred to a GM who is never there, they've finally let us know we can trade our car in for a different one (which isn't a perfect solution considering we wanted the car we got and now have to pivot to whatever cars they have available on the lot). They have not offered to reimburse the air conditioning or the broken trunk. Instead, they offered for us to get the service done at their shop for "cheaper" (meaning we'd still have to pay out of pocket for the service that was allegedly covered under warranty), which is a horrible solution considering they've destroyed our trust. The most disappointing and frustrating car experience you can possibly have. If they were honest to us about the warranty and broken parts, we wouldn't have given them our business, and now we're stuck paying for a broken car while we wait to try to find a different car on their lot to trade while still feeling distrustful that the next car will be any better. I'd feel better about the whole thing if they reimbursed the costs to fix the air conditioning (since we have to have that fixed now as we have extended family in town who need the car by tomorrow) and let us trade in the car for one with less mileage so we can have the platinum warranty we were promised. Easy to schedule service and communication was great throughout the process. However, they did not fill diesel exhaust fluid tank although part of service package. throughout the process. However, they did not fill diesel exhaust fluid tank although part of service package. More
Without fail, every employee we encountered at Rairdon from sales to finance, right up to the general manager, underwhelmed at best, and at worst was neglectful and deceitful. No follow through. No init from sales to finance, right up to the general manager, underwhelmed at best, and at worst was neglectful and deceitful. No follow through. No initiative. Definitely no "culture of care."
