Beware of the 5 star reviews! When purchasing the car, we were asked to provide a 5 star review. We actually had a great salesman and purchase process, so we were happy to provide that review. But after the purchase, things went down hill quickly. Easy buying process and convenient shuttles with friendly drivers are the only positive things in my experience. For the negative... We bought a brand new 2016 Honda Pilot, and had some minor things go wrong with it. It was a major hassle getting any of those things fixed. First, two trim pieces came loose the first time we washed the car. They said they would have to check if that was covered by the warranty. We literally had just purchased the vehicle! Then, once they got an answer, they never reached back out, we had to call them to get the status. They said to wait until the next oil change, so I would just have to be annoyed by the plastic flapping around. So it gets fixed and guess what? Breaks again. Same hassle all over again. We also paid for a rust protectant and interior defect treatment. When we pointed out a rust spot due to a design defect on the back door, they said it was normal wear and tear and was not covered by the warranty. The car is less than two years old with less than 20,000 miles, I have much older cars with no rust, so that is certainly not normal. The service person literally asked me, "so what do you want me to do about this?" We had to remind them we had purchased this protectant which came with a warranty, and I wanted him to fix it. Again, the same process with "we'll call the warranty company" with no feedback loop. And the tone of voice from them was not friendly nor helpful, it was like I was inconveniencing them for asking them to do their job. Frustrated, we recently ended up trading in this vehicle for a new one simply so we wouldn't have the hassle of dealing with Randy Kuehl Honda anymore. It makes me far less likely to buy a Honda again in the future, and if I did it would not be through this dealer. More
