Our purchasing experience here was great in the fall of 2021 (the reason for any stars), so we didn't hesitate to bring our Toyota in for a covered repair. The whole process has been incredibly slow and they just farmed the work out to Toyota, who, of course, could not fit it in based on Honda's appointment schedule. Now, what should have been a 1-2 day repair is taking a week and we will not have our van for a very long road trip with multiple children (which is the whole reason we bought a van in the first place). We told Honda about the need for our van back at the very beginning and repeatedly since then. They repeatedly promised they were doing everything possible to get it done in time for us. Every time that we have contacted Toyota directly, we are told something different from Honda, and Toyota has no reason to lie to us. Turns out, Honda never actually mentioned to Toyota that we needed our van back soon and that it was "no problem" if it could not be fixed until next week. Service worker David often waits hours before passing along or returning messages. When I complained about these discrepancies and our frustration, Asst Service Manager Chris was extremely defensive, told me there was no reason for his employees to lie (he is apparently unaware that people regularly lie to provide a good impression of themselves and their work) and then he told me I had just said things I never said. Overall, this has been a terrible experience. According to the Asst Service manager, Honda and other dealers "regularly" send cars to different dealers for work by the "experts" on those cars. Given the terrible Honda service and an only $50 difference in cost for covered repairs, we will just take our van directly to the "experts" at Toyota and get repairs done in a timely manner without being lied to. TLDR: Sales experience was great, Service experience is one of the worst I have ever experienced and we will just take our van to Toyota from now on. More
