We had been looking at a variety of different vehicles to replace our 2002 Pontiac Montana for a while. Since we no longer needed a minivan, we wanted something smaller with better gas mileage, fun to drive, a good safety rating, etc. We had leased a Civic from Randy Kuehl for our daughter a few years ago and at that time, were very comfortable with the staff and their helpfulness in selecting the 'right' car for her, so we decided to stop back, not actually planning to purchase/lease that day. However, with the lease promotions going on, we ended up driving home a Civic (for us) and are very happy with our choice. The staff at Randy Kuehl are helpful, knowledgeable and friendly. We didn't feel pressured into buying/leasing and our salesperson Mark took his time to explain details about the vehicles we looked at and test drove. We definitely recommend Randy Kuehl Honda to others looking to buy or lease a new car. More

Randy Kuehl Honda has a great reputation with my friends and family, but I didn't have first-hand experience until I recently purchased a 1996 Honda Accord from Matt Smith. I was an unusual customer becaus and family, but I didn't have first-hand experience until I recently purchased a 1996 Honda Accord from Matt Smith. I was an unusual customer because I needed to pay cash rather than finance the purchase, so Matt watched the dealership's inventory for several months before he saw a car that fit my budget. My 1996 Accord is old, but it only had 82,000 miles and 1.5 prior owners (the first owner drove it for maybe a year, back when it was new). Matt saw this car come in as a trade-in and asked Nate Kuehl to give me "right of first refusal," so this car never even made it into the dealership's official inventory (this is the upside of visiting with your Honda dealership before you're ready to buy!). Matt resolved my concerns about buying a "lemon" by meticulously researching the car's service history prior to purchase. The recommended repairs (valued at $500) were included in the purchase price of the car, and I was out the door for under $2800. I bought the car in December and - two months later - still haven't had a single problem, despite the fact that Iowa is struggling with a very cold and snowy winter. Overall, this was a GREAT buying experience, and I am definitely a devoted customer of Matt Smith and Randy Kuehl Honda. More
Paul Thulin makes magic happen! When I recently bought a 1996 Honda Accord, the "recommended repairs" were included in the purchase price. The Service Dept. was very friendly and efficient in scheduling and making those repairs, and even gave me a loaner car for a few days while they kept mine. I was also pleasantly surprised at the extent of the repairs done for free as part of my purchase. The contract read "check and advise" regarding the driver's side window (it rolled down, but had to be pulled up manually). They "checked" the repair and "advised" me that it would cost $500 to fix - which of course I declined to do (I don't need to order at a drive-through that badly!) - but when the car was returned to me, the window worked again, and I never paid a cent. The true test came regarding the busted power steering pump (another $500 repair). Randy Kuehl's Service Dept. fixed this less 10 months before I bought the car, so it should have been under warranty even though the repair wasn't part of the purchase contract - except that warranties aren't supposed to transfer to subsequent buyers. I was NOT happy. But I talked to Paul and he petitioned Honda Corporate on my behalf . . . magic happened . . . and 6 weeks later, I got a new power steering pump free of charge. It was a lesson in trust and patience that definitely paid off. And in the end, everyone was happy - because when I went in to replace the power steering pump, I also bought 3 new tires and a new set of hubcaps. Gotta love repeat business! More

This was my third Honda purchase and 5th overall car buying process. I had the unfortunate luck of buying my last Honda in Iowa City and the process left me so distraught I vowed never to do it again! buying process. Mark and the rest of their staff have completely changed my view on this. Not only did I feel I got a great deal, but their approach put us so at ease that I really had a great time doing it.
