Ray Catena Land Rover responded

In response to Mr. Patel's comments: The vehicle Mr. Patel is commenting on was a Lease Buy Out from JLF. Not a cash purchase from our company. It was our customer's car to whom has been an exceptional customer, who is also a friend of Mr. Patel. This customer asked if we would let Mr. Patel buy out his lease for the residual value and make nothing on the transaction. We agreed becasue of our relationship. Mr. Patel, living in Ohio, has a state and county tax rate. Through our out of state motor vehicle service, since we are a NJ dealer we were made aware of the county tax as well as the State tax. Only until we notified Mr. Patel that he owed a small amount in county tax he got abrupt, even hanging up multiple times on my associate as well as myself. The fact is that Mr. Patel doesn't want to pay the motor vehicle and wants it taken off the local tax fee which we will not do. He knows exactly what he is trying to do and he's using this as a tool to try and get me to conceed which I will not do! Becasue it's not the right thing to do. This is a good example of trying to do the right thing and then being extorted! We will be more than accomadating and he will have his title and motor vehicle when he pays $580.62 which is his 1.75% Franklin County Tax!
