When no one else delivered... Alan did! I truly went to most dealerships in the north east looking for a specific car. A) most did not have the model (with the options) I wanted. B) none willing to go above and beyond, or out of their way and C) I found most places were impersonal and borderline rude Alan was the opposite, very courteous and eager to help from the get go. Even though he knew I had specific requirements, he embarked on a search across his network of dealers until he found the right car. He was willing to go beyond, in order to make my experience easier -- which is what I appreciated the most. It took 2 weeks, but he did not give up, and more important, was friendly, and helpful all through out. Alan made the experience worth the wait, to the point I was willing to wait whatever it took. (glad it wasn't that bad) He made the wait worth while, found me a great car, and delivered with one of the best experiences I've had with a car dealership -- and I hate the normal purchase experience. When car shopping one would generally think that a Jaguar or Range/Land Rover dealership would be cold, snooty, and snobbish but that is definitely NO When car shopping one would generally think that a Jaguar or Range/Land Rover dealership would be cold, snooty, and snobbish but that is definitely NOT so with Ray Catena of Edison NJ. My first purchase was an X type in 2002 and currently leasing the Land Rover Discovery Sport. I wish I could say that I purchased the XJ or a Range Rover, but that is a bit out of my league. My point I wish to clarify is that each time, I had an exceptional experience right from the beginning. Generally, when I call a dealership for information I am usually given the third degree with short, evasive responses but this was not the case with Ray Catena. When I called, I asked the receptionist for "someone really nice who is not going to jerk me around" and I was directed to James Mull and yes, he was very helpful right from the beginning. Jim was very considerate of my needs and extremely helpful throughout the complete process. More

When he had what I needed we made a very fair deal and no endless back and forth with the manager. The paperwork was extremely fast and I was on my way with the car i desired. Couldn't have been easier I worked with Josh Pollak, initially on the phone then mostly through email. I wanted a specific combination of options, and found it at my "local" dealer. He told me to buy I had to come in to place the order and then come back to pick up the car. I saw the car was available at Ray Catena and called. Josh answered the phone with his name and "How can I help today?". I told him what was going on, and he indicated that if they wouldn't take an order on the phone, it usually means they can't do what they are quoting. I gave him the numbers I had gotten, and Josh informed me they could only be "real" if they were plus tax numbers, and with additional money as a down payment. He gave me the best he could do, so I challenged him a bit and asked if he would put the deal together so I had to come to Edison only once. He answered aquickly saying Absolutely, with a deposit on a credit card, he would write up the deal and email me a copy of the order for an OK from me. Easy and honest, like the Billboard says. Highly recommend Josh, and the Ray Catena Group. Josh will be my first call from now on for anything the group sells. Thanks again Josh. More
